2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee not starting TIPM Starter/Fuel relay 

excuse me.. I have the same problem and the machine can't live at all ... "What should be corrected?" Thank you in advance

What happens to your Jeep I have the same problems , can you tell me why

My wife's car had hard start, and sluggish on acceleration. We called and it was on recall for the TIPM. The lady said it probably wouldn't fix the hard start, but to take it in anyway. We took it in and got it back the same day. I'm happy to say we haven't had any problems since.

Chrysler needs to work on producing less lemons. It sucks to have such a nice Jeep just take a shit all because of electronics. Our 2013 Grand Cherokee with a Hemi has been a great vehicle though. I even did a code scan on it after 3 years - no codes. Only repair it has ever needed was a new windshield spray nozzle that clogged. There was only one time the TIPM had an issue though. Turned it on and the engine just shut off (when parked thank goodness). It turned right back on though and safely drove again after 6 months since. I even took it up to the mountains after a big blizzard hit, and no problems.

Gents I finally solved the problem it is very easy it is a small cut out for the fuel pump only, just change it if you need the location just send me ill attach photos for you

I have a 2011 Jeep GC Limited and the TIPM recall was resolved on mine back in January of this year and now recently I started getting a rough idle and I can honestly say it does feel like the Trans isn't shifting smoothly.

I just got the 2012 yesterday and i am already experiencing this I'm going to talk to the dealer tomorrow. What problems have you had since? How many miles do you have? I'm nervous to hold onto the vehicle.

i have been looking to get the 2012. i have read both reports that say the recall is only for the 2011 not the 2012. But i have read that the 2012 is having the same problem.. have you heard anything about this at all??

Just under 65,000mi on my 2012 Jeep GC Altitude. Had this same problem sporadically. Started to happen more frequently. Then most recently it stalled on me while driving twice. 2nd time I was in an intersection. That was it. Got it to the shop for diagnosis and they’re telling me the relay. I hope that’s the end of it

Recently purchased a 2011 Jeep Cherokee Overland and just started having problems starting it up. Did the TIPM replacement fix the problem for your Jeep?

Mine is a '99 Grand Cherokee. This happened a while back, and I thought it was the fuel pump. I replaced it, everything went fine for another 50K miles, but now it's happening again. I stall out on the street sometimes, which is not only embarrassing, but a tad unsafe. My wife won't let the kids in it anymore. I'm not happy about replacing the pump, as it's a royal pain, but wondering if it's something else instead... relay? electrical? pressure? What say you?

UPDATE: more electrical problems as of 2/7/2015. The rear hatch window unlocks randomly now, and interior dome lights mysteriously turn on and off. Car serviced by dealer today and was told that they completed the recall repair (bypass the fuel relay) even though this was already done by them several months ago. Was also told by service manager that the repair today should fix the other electrical problems (what!?!). Will be contacting Chrysler as this is clearly a systemic electrical problem with a defective TIPM.

My wife's grand cherokee is doing the same thing. I called and it is under the TIPM recall. Did the recall fix your hard start?

Same problem here, 2011 3.6L. Ug. TIPM recall has been completed already. Fuel pump may be bad? Update! I found the external relay and jumped the FP, it works! Check relay, seems OK clicking fine. Check FP relay coil voltage, 12V is there. All I can think is the FP is going bad??

نفس المشكلة عندي في جراند شيروكي هيمي حاليا وايضا هناك ثقل بالمحرك والسبب تلف الراجع او الرداد في طرمبة البنزين .. البنزين يرجع من المحرك إلى الخزان عند ايقاف المحرك والحل تبديل الطرمبه والحل المؤقت قبل التشغيل قم بوضع السيارة على النارية لمدة ثلاث ثوان وتكرارها ثلاث مرات والمرة الرابع قم بتشغيل المحرك arabic

يا اخوان للي بسأل صارت معي نفس المشكلة وحليتها والسيارة اشتغلت تمام السبب هو الكات اوت الخاص بطرمبة البنزين غيرته مع الظفيرة تبعته شبكت واحد جديد مع الظفيرة والسيارة اشتغلت تمام، موقعة قدام لوحة المصاهر لوحدة مربوط قدامها تماما

I've got a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD DIESEL, did the exact same, mine cut out while driving and would not start, Jeep tell me its the fuel pump (£1800 to supply and fit) but if it as put metal fragments into the fueling system and caused damage to the injectors, then the whole system will need replacing at a cost of around £16k. Anyone else heard this?
