I am glad Jeep is getting better with things like the Grand Cherokee. It really is a good unique brand.

This new Jeep is great. I have 20 of these in my fleet at work and they are WAY better than what they replaced. The interior is no longer garbage and the new V6 is superior in any measure. I'd like to drive one with the Hemi V8.

The new CR survery actually shows that Jeep is the most reliable American brand for new car.

I just bought a 2011 6 months ago in mint condition except for one little ding made by a grocery cart no doubt, its a grand cherokee limited edition with a hemi and i love it..

You forgot to say it has standard push button start, leather steering wheel/shifter, dual zone A/C, and electronic vehicle information center. Amazing huh? And SRT8 JGC is coming for 2012 model year. I saw spy shots.

Whats funnyis from ZJ to WJ to WK and WK2 the cargo space got smaller - yet the GC grew from 105.9 inch wheelbase to almost 116 inch for the WK2

@shutittwat land rover was founded 3 years after the first jeep's became available to civilians, and jeep's were not exported until after land rover was founded, what other off-road vehicle's were europeans going to use? they needed an off road vehicle company to start making cars. and the first 'off road vehicle' was the Kégresse track, made in russia in 1906, according to wikipedia

@NakedSnakeBlGBOSS Uhh 1st Jeep is owned by Chrysler. Jeeps always had parts similar w/ other Chrysler products like Dodge, like all multi-brand car companies. I'm no Chrysler fan myself, but doesn't make sense to bash a vehicle you never been in.

Let's hope they can do something this good with the next-generation Liberty, among other Chrysler products. That would be great, and hopefully this vehicle is the shape of things to come. Still, they are getting help from Fiat and Mercedes-Benz.

@shutittwat Most land rovers are luxury vehicles. Most jeeps are not. are'nt power windows an option with the new patriot? I saw a fairly new one with wind up. But i guess your paying for a cheap on/off road vehicle.but they gotta stick to their old designs. Land rover has always put off roading before preformance, i don't think the new srt8 cherokee has done that, but who's really gonna take their jeep off road? Its not like jeep is all about tough off road challenges

As much as I hate american cars especially Chrysler products, but I got to admit the new redesigned Grand Charokee is very nice looking interir and exterior wise and the options are very nice as well. Very expensive though let's see how re-sale value would be like but ofcourse not as good as the Honda Pilot like kbb claimed!!

@zeal117 The previous generation 4runner was better, the new one is heavier, uglier, has a cheap ass interior, and is expensive but no longer has the high quality interior to justify the high price. If the new Jeep GC is reliable, Id buy one, I love the luxurious looking interior and styling way more. Looks really refined and expensive

How did they miss the fact that there is a giant chunk of seat missing in the rear seats?

If you want it so much go get one without the quadra lift option, it's nothing but a bunch of useless electric junk that can cost you up to grands to repair once it takes a dump, ain't doing much in terms of offroading with a couple inches higher off the ground anyways. This is mostly a grocery getter and soccer mom car that barely stay off the paved road, not the drivers' problem but the car itself will not even hold up. Coming from a WK2 owner who's spent time, money and effort way more than I should have just to keep the damn thing running. Just think twice before buying, you can get previous gens of Grand Cherokee for way cheaper prices and way more reliability

Nice design, not quite as handsome as a Range Rover Sport or MB GLK, but interior and exterior styling look more like a luxury SUV than a econo-box. It's Quadra system looks to be every bit as good as the RR Sport's Terrain Response System. If Jeep can just improve reliability to at least average, I will seriously consider buying one, though that's probably not going to happen unless Chrysler changes their production line so it's similar to that of Ford, Toyota, or Honda. So thumbs down still!

The last Cherokee was hideous.. This one looks very upscale.

Consumer Reports, JD Powers, Edmunds, have all ranked Jeep poorly when it comes to reliability. Also, my dad had a 2004 GC, the thing rattled and squeaked like an old house, and the transmission shook the entire car when changing gears. Not to mention the ride was rough and fuel economy was poor. It did handle snowy roads well in the winter, when it chose to start that is. Jeep has to make improvements in transmission, electrical system, and chassis rigidity to make the GC a real winner.

That's expensive for a Jeep!!!!!

@XSONICXxxx iam rich but do not forget than jeeps are so cheap ,dodges and chrysler too the most expensive car that i have priced at less than 50.000 $ and that is cheap compared to suvs like porsche cayenne bmw x5 and range rover that are priced at more than 100.000 $ do you understand my point all my cars costs just 260.000 $
