The more I look on RU-vid there's barely any in depth videos of c300s getting tuned up like this I have one myself it's completely stock I will be straight piping it in the future and adding carbon fiber parts to the exterior I just wanted to know if anyone wants me to record it ( please don't hate I'm just another car guy trying to bring quality content to others )
Cool man, should go for it. People are getting used C-Classes all the time and those that want to mod it usually look into some exhaust work. So you'll definitely get some views. My videos are old now but I tried getting all sorts of sound clips to help people decide what they want.
@@staticspeed279 I see you've never driven a loud car as a daily then. Do it and then let me know how your head feels after listening to the car drone for hours on end.
a couple questions if can? what size are your wheels? also what size of mufflers are those and dd they fit well? if have the part number of mufflers would be helpful i really like the deep throaty sound and not the crackling of straight pipes. A+
I got most of my carbon fiber from www.jl-motoring.com , there are also www.rwcarbon.com , www.aeuroplug.com Alot of people buy from eBay too no problems they are all pretty much the same.
i recently took out my muffler and resonator added an x-pipe and afternarket mufflers but I'm getting a loud drone at low rpms while driving in city or on highway you think if i change my mufflers to magnaflow mufflers the inside drone will be less?
Which mufflers do you have on now? The Magnaflow #11226 that I have will almost get rid of the highway drone. But it is much more quiet than the straight pipes I had in this video. I went from xpipe+muffler delete to xpipe + 11226 mufflers, little to no drone...but way too quiet for my liking.
hey bro i have a 2019 c300 coupe and just last week i got the mufflers taken off, now it burbles when i rev and pops when i upshift at high rpms, im thinking about getting rid of the resonators do u think it will be too loud or will it sound better with more pops and burbles?
I have the same year except mine is a 4Matic luxury sport. I had a magna flow 10 serious with all 4 resonators deleted and it sounds like a beast compared to yours. Not sure why yours sounds so low.
When you did straight pipes did your sensors come on or are they're any bad side effects that happened to the car? I have a 09 Mercedes c300 v-6 and my cats do a rattling noise when I turn it on or when I am driving at low speeds, Dealer ship is charging me over a grand to put new cats in, So I've been looking at just taking them off and running them straight I've just never imagined taking cats off a Mercedes
I never take my car to the stealership only for recalls. The sensors are only on the primary cats closest to the engine, only if you touch those will you throw codes. you can go to an exhaust shop they'll fix it for like 100-200.
+fidel p which cats did you remove??? Under my car almost right underneath the passenger and drivers seat there is 2 cats then right behind them towards the tips the mufflers are there, should I take those cats off and also take the muffler,??
Check my W204 exhaust thread here mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/630113-w204-exhaust-thread-x-pipe-straight-pipe-mufflers-etc.html You will find pictures there of everything.
+fidel p I noticed were the cat were the primary cats So you took off them little silencers or whatever they're called or secondary cats and did you also take out the mufflers? Because my car has 2 or 3 of those behind the secondary silencer cats Did you take those out also? And just ran it from the headers to primary cats and all the way straight pipe to the muffler tips??? Whenever you did straight pipes?
hi I'm wondering how much did it cost to make it quad exhaust and did you have to order the rear diffuser online or your shop custom did it for you? Thanks and also do you think straight pipes are alittle too loud and would annoy other people?
+kelvin sun I ordered the diffuser from a local vendor on mbworld.org, that cost around 300, quad tips 185, Xpipe from amazon was 90 which is optional, then something like 200 for the exhaust shop to do resonator delete/xpipe + muffler delete. I had the diffuser installed beforehand along with some other parts at a body shop, forgot how much they charged. and yes, straight pipes were a little loud, and probably did annoy people, but i didnt care lol. which is why i added mufflers later, so its alot quieter now, but wish i had straight pipes again. if you dont do x pipe then it should be a little less loud.
Hey love the sound of the straight pipe!!!! I have a 2012 C250 and I'm trying to hear that sound. But the way my exhaust is set up I only have one outlet. How do I change this to a quad?
TheShug12 first off you have a 4 cylinder turbo engine and mine is a v6 so they sound completely diff. as for the piping your local shop does that just tell them you want dual outlet. ofcourse you will need some quad tips and a rear diffuser that fits uad.
fidel p oh wow okay thanks for the advice, I know there isn't much I can do with a Benz and I know my exhaust would have to be a custom job especially considering my engine.
No problems. A muffler delete + magnaflow xpipe setup with stock exhaust tips should be around $200-250 parts and labor depending how much your shop charges.
Hey I just bought my 2011 c300 3.0 V6. I just removed cats, resonators and exhaust. with full bolt on headers. mine wicked loud! I'm currently working on a 88mm single turbp front mount to put on.....
in cabin drone during highway driving, street driving drone wasnt too bad. some people say they dont mind it, but was too loud for me since i drive older folks alot.
+ROBERTO RODRIGUEZ im not really familiar with the w203 exhaust layout. mine needs 2 magnaflow mufflers, but they r similar engine so should sound similar to this
I'm trying to do a straight pipe without deleting my cats I have a c350 what are your thoughts ?!? I was thinking a straight pipe with different mufflers ?!?
I never touched my cats in this video. You can always do X-pipe + aftermarket mufflers. Thats what I did in this video, it was x-pipe + muffler delete, then I switched to Magnaflow Mufflers but then it became way too quiet so I deleted the Secondary Cats/Resonators which is my most recent setup in my videos. You can try different mufflers, but there are little to no sound clips of any aftermarket mufflers on RU-vid so it's best to find a cool shop that will let you hear different mufflers before they actually weld them on.
fidel p i didn't think you would reply but I wanna delete my resonators and do a straight pipe with magna flow mufflers what are your thoughts on that I want it to pop but not sound Ricyy
First off, lets clear somethings up. When people say they did "X-pipe" that equals "Resonator Delete" as the Magnaflow X-pipe deletes the resonator. When people say "straight pipe" that means they did a "muffler delete" aka straight pipe the mufflers. So you dont do "a straight pipe with magnaflow mufflers" the fact that you have mufflers means it is NOT straight pipe. I think you want X-pipe + magnaflow mufflers, but as I have told you, it is VERY quiet like in this video. Ofcourse that is only one model of muffler, and magnaflow offers more aggressive mufflers along with other muffler brands. I recommend visiting the following page for more information. mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/630113-w204-exhaust-thread-x-pipe-straight-pipe-mufflers-etc.html
fidel p ohh I see yeah I just got the car like 4 months ago so I'm pretty new and lost but can you tell me the setup you did for the straight pipe I'm planing on doing it
That's ok. For the straight pipe setup in this video all you need is a Magnaflow X-pipe #10791, bring it to your exhaust shop and ask them to install it and do a "muffler delete." That's all you need for the sound you can use your stock exhaust tips. If you want quad tips you will need the quad tips and a rear diffuser.
the exhaust shop does everything, xpipe in place of stock resonator and they cut out the stock mufflers and replace it with straight pipes... check out my thread here for more detailed info and pictures... mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/630113-w204-exhaust-thread-x-pipe-straight-pipe-mufflers-etc.html
+alqahtani hussain well all you need for straight pipes is an x pipe. can have an exhaust shop make one for you, or you can get a magnaflow x pipe part# 10791 like i did from amazon for $90. quad tips are optional ofcourse and you will need a rear diffuser to fit them, i got mine for $190 at www.topspeedauto.com. then it all depends on how much the exhaust shop you go to charges you for installing everything.
+alqahtani hussain I used to have straight pipes, now i have magnaflow mufflers 2.25" in n out. i mean a muffler shop can fabricate you an x pipe. i have one from magnaflow, part #10791
oh ok, well a 2011 is nice, i love mine and have had no problems, but if you could get a 2012+ it's just all around better looking. the front end, rear end, and interior is updated. then in 2013 they introduced a new 3.5L V6 engine for the C300 instead of the old 3.0 engine. 2011 is a nice year as well because they added the daytime running lights in the front in place of the 08-10 fog lights.
yea, x pipe is in all my exhaust videos, i went x-pipe + muffler delete > x-pipe + magnaflow mufflers > xpipe+ mf mufflers + secondary cat deletes, the last one being my current setup
fidel p how about OEM c63 mufflers? I have resonator deleted (no x-pipe, just straight pipe) and stock mufflers, and I am thinking about second hand OEM c63 mufflers. What do u think?
Love this car man... Look into OEtuning. That would be the finishing touch I think. About to do the xpipe mod to my 2007 e350 and the tune next to wake it up a little. Love the car man. www.oetuning.com/products/mercedes-benz/c-class/300/mercedes-benz-c300-3-0
+Syed Ali fine with m3, i dont care if its an e92 amd its to old for you, and I privately own 12 taxis, I dont drive them often though I have like you to that for me im done with this conversation dont bother replying my time is more valuable then a piece of shit like you
+Surpreet Johal way to contradict yourself lmfao. you think talking big about yourself makes you better in life, no you probably a 40 year old taxi driving who's living the dream in his actual dreams. did they teach you proper grammar in grade school btw lost a couple brain cells trying to figure out what you were trying to say and I read your reply in an Indian accent lmfaoooo
For straight pipes like in this video, all you need is Magnaflow X-pipe which is around $90 on amazon. the labor would be anywhere from $150-200. That's for straight pipe to stock exhaust tips.
