Kelly Rackham I have but now it's making the noises again. The motor and transmission have a life time warrenty. They have tho in the policy that they will not fix things that make noises lol so I've been told to run it till it blows up and then they replace it. It actually says this in the paper work. So instead of fixing it and saving 5k they have to replace it and spend 7k lol
I had the same problem with my 2014 Juke SL manufactured on November 29,2013. yet Nissan Canada looks at it as a 2014 model. Not covered under the Voluntary Recall Campaign P-4213 that covers all Juke models 2011 to 2013, Service Bulletin SB-10055923-4231, Valid from Sept. 22,2014 to Oct. 30,2015. Yet the problem of timing chain stretching wasn't discovered until May 5,2014. So I had to pay $2,440. out of my own pocket for the repairs. So why was my Juke not covered? Nissan has a problem with Model and Manufacturing dating!!!!
My manufactured 2013 but sold as 2014 Nissan Juke is making the exact same racket. Bought it brand new, still paying for it. Has under 60,000 miles. Suggestions for fix?
alberto iraheta faulty trimming chain that was just replaced. Getting worst and they refused to replace it saying noise is normal lol. The engine has a life time warrenty with the car when bought so just waiting on it to break. The warrenty doesn't cover noises really weird warrenty and I even looked it up and it says it plain as day. So the day it breaks and bends the valves and twists the crank I bet they will regretting that they have to replace it with a long block rather than a simple trimming chain. Juke has high mileage on it right now close to 150,000 and it's a 2011.
No problem. Ok so let me understand: they already replaced the timing chain on your Juke and you are getting that buzzy noise coming from the timing chain? I'm getting worried because I've been getting that buzzy noise from the engine compartment since I bought my Juke and it only had 23,500 miles. I am still getting that buzzy noise but the funny thing is that it only makes that noise occasionally, not all the times. I am not sure if it's comming from the timing chain or from elsewhere. I will appreciate your help regarding this funny buzzing noise. Thanks!
alberto iraheta yea this is the 5 chain that has almost broke they all get so bad that the engine starts to stall and has no power. There was a recall on all Jukes that ended last year for trimming chain free replacement. The guides and the thickness of the chain was the problem. But there is 7 different version of this chain to try to correct this problem in the Jukes.
Old video, but in case others have this sound, it is NOT the timing chain. It is the PCV valve. I have the exact same sound when a little load is put on around idle, like turning on AC, etc. like in this video. I thought it was the turbo on mine until I really tracked it down: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3qknXo6pQ3A.html If you pinch the vacuum line the sound stops completely. I've replaced the valve and it is still happening. Something in the way the vacuum from the intake manifold and the pressure in the crankcase are behaving appear to be causing it. I think I'd rather this gremlin than a $2500 chain job.
The turbocharged and chain grenade shortly after this video. The lifetime warranty company for the car ended up putting in a used motor under warrenty. Sold the car after mutiple motors and no rental pay reimbursement and fighting the lifetime warranty and the dealership.
@@mardypooh cost thousands when it breaks. If still in tack then about a grand. In one case the chain was so lose it ate into the block so even tho the engine was fine the engine was damage by the lose chain. Also I didnt want that motor since it had a ton of shavings from the chain hitting everything. This last engine has been decent thus far. Had put on 60k and haven't had an issue. But from 60k to 110k it was a pain going through motors till the updated the chain to the 4th revision instead of the second or just third.
I have had a buzzing noise since 3000 miles on my 2014. I have 17000 on it now. I took a stethoscope to it and the buzzing was from my PCV valve. there was no check engine lights on or anything so I didn't bother. but now ( 15000 mi and a year later it's sounding off louder and more often under high Revving
I have same issues right now. They replace the timing chain then same issues, they said its the ac compressor and alternator makes noise. I really dont know. I think the repair shop scam me. I spend 3400 dollars on that timing chain
@@kd5bwp they change everything on it. Chain guide tensioner chain, and now there telling me that the AC compressor and alternator makes noise. Need to replace. I went to there shop because of that noise. After they change timing chain. Now the AC compressor and alternator
@@kd5bwp you know what i got scam from them. After fixing my timing chain, i went home, the noise is still there, i let my car run for 30 mins outside my garage. Then overheat comes, the coolant spill in the floor,. Then my cooling fan is not working. The repair shop wont cover the cooling fan which i dont have issues with overheating. I really f*** up why i went to that shop,. Btw i will try ur advice. Thank you
yup and there is no fix there is 6 different chain revision or designs because they from the factory made the area where the chain can go too small or not wide enough so the chains fail easily because of how long they are
