100%. My pops just got a 2010, LOVE that thing. I was fortunate enough to drive it for a week for him and even more fortunate to detail it for him. Man was that fun.
I just bought one, 2012. I remember watching this video when it was released, I was 14. I'm 24 now, took awhile but goal met. Thanks. By The Way the car is just as nice as it was then ;)
Just bought one. 2010 HSE Buckingham Blue with Sand leather and blue piping, Cherry Wood trim and steering wheel. Super comfortable and smooth, and it GOES. 5.0L naturally-aspirated V8, yet whisper quiet on the highway doing 75+mph. It's nothing short of riding on cloud.
Easily one of the best reviews i've seen on the internet. Today's people and car reviewers are so pretentious they can't really appreciate the vehicles they drive. This man said everything you need to know about this magnificent Range Rover. Best exterior ever!
This is one of the best ever of all Range Rover, ( 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Special Edition. this was the last real Range Rover before it turned into a new style.
I got to choose between a 2012 autobiography and a 2015 when I turned 16 and the 2015 felt so empty. I wouldn’t trade my 2012 for anything else, it’s an amazing SUV.
Among the many automotive reviews out there, you guys really do stand out. The camera angles, editing and review... all up there! Keep up the good work :)
Great video. Lost my 2006 HSE Supercharged to insurance when Harvey hit Houston . Still enjoy this particular bodystyle so I just recently lucked up and purchased a rare 2012 Autobiography with black and red interior. Leather all over almost every area of it, headliner included. It's one handsome amazing machine.
Well... Let's agree to disagree shall we..?! I believe I do review cars. I don't believe any car is perfect. But sometimes the imperfections aren't worth mentioning when you consider the entire driving experience. Besides... What one person thinks is an imperfection might not necessarily apply to someone else... So in the end it's all really a matter of perception and perspective. Thanks for watching our video though and for taking the time to give us your feedback..:) Steve
The difference in performance between the Vogue SE and the Vogue SE Supercharged. Wow. It's incredible. Trust me we just upgraded, you all need to have a go!
Why Land Rovers seem to be a bit better than other off-road cars? Here's a one small example. Rival cars like the Audi Q7 and BMW X6 all have buttons & control switches lifted straight off their saloon cars A6 & 5 Series. Which means they'll be normal sized, small. Whereas, in Range Rovers buttons & switches are big and chunky so the kind people who drive them say a farmer, can operate them while wearing thick gloves. It's the little things.
Okay... Cool aerodynamic/distinctive styling with a modern tech happy interior. Decent 140 hp getting 39 mpg hwy easy on the wallet. Vehicle stability assist, fwd, ACE body construction with airbags all around. Econ button for max fuel efficiency = boring drive but you're stuck in traffic anyway so who cares?! Nice dash with Intelligent Media Info display, bluetooth, usb audio interface, nicely laid out with lots of storage areas and reasonable comfort and room plus low price. Enjoy..:) Steve
Okay... Now let's stay calm and be rational here.... Hmmmm.... Let's see.... Wait... I have an idea!!! Keep watching our videos... Then we you have that uncontrollable urge for a new car...just go out and buy a new car...show it to your wife... then hand her the keys and tell her it's for HER because you love her so..:) She can't throw you out then!!! Plus...she'll be so overwhelmed by your generosity...she'll probably let you drive it once in a while. Problem solved. You're welcome..:) Steve
@andywedga - Well...either you need to get your hearing checked or get better speakers for your computer or my "southern" accent has gotten me into trouble again..:) I reckon I'll hafta do a bit better job next time just so some chaps overseas don't git the wrong impression of us Yanks... Not that that would ever happen..! Thanks for watching our videos..:) Steve
@roxxas5 - Yeah... It appears so..:) Of course the reason for this is that all the blood was rushing to my face from hanging upside for soooooo long. We shot that scene about five times before we finally got it right... Now all the blood is back where it belongs and I hope I'm a bit less "lumpy" for ya..:) Thanks for watching our video! - Steve
I don't know much about the new Range Rovers, but i know for a fact that the old ones always had major issues with everything, from doors not opening to hydraulics being broken without even trying to break it. My father had an old one, it was terrible, none the less, i can't say anything bad about the new ones, have not driven them yet.
Accent...?!?!? You mean my Northern Virginia Southern Drawl..? Hmmm...never knew I had one. I do like camping though...pitching a tent...building a fire...sleeping under the stars...fresh air...poison ivy... It's Great! Thanks for watching our video..:) Steve
@beeeneee - Tiny..??!! Geeze... Let's just say I find the Range Rover... "roomy"..:) Now you've made me want to order a lifetime supply of steroids just to bulk up for this machine..! Thanks for watching our videos!!! Be sure to check out our Fiat video... I'm a Giant of a man in that one..:) Steve
@BMWDRE10 - Congratulations on your purchase! I'm sure you'll enjoy many years and thousands of miles of driving pleasure with it. Let me know when you're ready for your next vehicle and I'll be happy to hand you your new car keys!!! Drive Safely..:) - Steve
@nlsnestevez - Thanks for the compliment. Glad you enjoyed the review. We have about 25 or more videos on our Rosenthal Automotive channel and plenty more on the way... So check'em out if you get a chance and if you like what you see then become a subscriber. We'd love to have ya! Thanks...:) Steve
Fair observation. Point well made. We do listen to our viewers and always strive to improve our videos to the best of our ability. Wait until you see our upcoming review on the 2013 Range Rover. I promise...you won't be disappointed..:) Steve
@jkfjaskdfjlkjsdlkjfk a person that buys a range rover sport supercharged with a big v8 under the hood doesn't care about the mileage, he would have the money. this car wasn't designed to be efficient...
What's the reliability like on these SUV's? I'm thinking of buying a 09 supercharged Sport with 50k miles. I don't want to go to the shop every 10k and i am very easy on cars.
Is reliability up on these big RRs? If I had the money I would lease one of these, or any high end vehicle because I will not have to worry about high maintainance costs later on down.
In UK that thing will cost about £90,000. Are you sure that 2011 model mate. The 2011 model has a 6 speed rotary selector like the Jaguars. Awesome video review. Cheers mate!
@flyymfknnian - Well...fly down or take the train! I'd be happy to help you take one of these magnificient machines home..:) Thanks for watching our videos! - Steve
)).. nothing wrong about the Range, but this is for all your videos. I`m kinda watch car reviews a bit too much now and I`m telling you, your way of doing it is the best. Every single review is like a mini movie and that is AWESOME! And .. I have been thinking I`m the person with good sense of humor, but now I see.. You are the one. (Do you remember a bmw 5 series review - `I don`t smoke - Hay!!`- hahahaha.. oh, Gosh) So thank you for such pleasure and really great job.
This vid was instrumental in my decision to buy the 2012 Vogue Supercharged. Chose white paint and ivory interior with arabica seats and carpet. What a beauty. Only one problem, here in Costa Rica they are special order with a 3 month delivery time. Im all good, No problem, Really.Ya right, Like a kid waiting on the stairs for Santa..... My wife is enjoying my torment.... She gets my 2006 HSE when it arrives. Pura Vida in Costa Rica !
I think this should set the benchmark as to how car videos should be made. It's not just rambling about endless specs and a few shots of the car zooming by. It's filmed and edited in such a way, that you can almost feel what it is to be in the vehicle and drive it. On a side note, I admit at first I thought the intro was stupid with his face in the camera, until I saw him slide down the windshield upside down. :-)
Dude..the fastrac is a tractor. the marauder is a truck, which is american for offroader. It doies all a RR can do, has vertical climbing and all, is street legal, and is recognised as a motor vehicle. Also, i said, the X6M would do a better job pulling horse trailers than the RR cos of its better specs. But you don't pull trailers with a X6M for the same reason you don't plough fields with a bentley. Finally, the RR does not look as good. No chick appeal, no dropping you off at a party...
@EugeneCamilleri; As I said before, we are all different however you are the only person I know who declares the RR isn't comfortable. You answered your own question in stating the X6M doesn't pull horse trailers; that is not what it was designed to do, the Range Rover is and does it admirably. Can I now say that the JCB Fastrac is in competition with SUV's as it has 4WD and has offroad features?
@s13hgp I have been inside Range Rovers, and they are not comfortable. The Q7 is. The X6 is. But the Range Rover isn't. The best RR, the 5.0 V8 puts out 625N/m of torque. The X6M does 680. There is also a 45 bhp difference. the reason the X6 M doesn't pull horde trailers is because it won't look good doing it. It's made for dropping you off at a club or party, making you look good, not for farm work. The Marauder is technically a 4x4: its 4 wheel drive, goes offroad, and has offroad features.
@s13hgp The Range Rover is NOT luxury. Not at all. You call the Hummer ugly. i agree. But the hummer has the same boring, boxy shape as the range rover. The cadillac, on the other hand, looks and feels better than the Rover. The X6 M can easily go on a ploughed field. It may have problem with rocks, but it can do soil or sand effortlessly. It has more torque, so it can pull the horse trailer. Finally, if a marauder is not a 4x4, what is it? It's like a range rover, only bigger and better.
@EugeneCamilleri; I can't see the BMW towing a twin axle horse trailer across a ploughed field, there is no way that the two are comparable ! The Cadillac and the Hummer I wouldn't touch with a long stick, both are great big American type vehicles which are just to brash, vulgar and Pig Ugly But then Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so that's a personal choice The Marauder is a truck? You certainly have not convinced me there is a better 'true' 4X4 luxury vehicle on the market.
@s13hgp I can do more than that. In general, the BMW X6 M is slightly cheaper, faster, more powerful, and better looking. The new Cadillac Escalade Platinum is less powerful, but better looking and just as capable of the road. The Hummer H3, which is also quite cheaper, is way better on any form of terrain, though it's just as ugly as the Range Rover. Finally there's the Marauder, the supreme 4x4. yes, it's 5 times more expensive than the range rover, but it beats it in every possible way.happy?
@redomonrt yeah my dad has a 2011 range rover HSE lux.. id deff recommend it over the lexus like he said the range rover sets the bench mark of luxury suvs.. i wouldn't get the base hse the seats in there are really ugly there not heated and it doesn't have the wood steering it has the ugly wheels the HSE lux is basically everything this has exept the engine and the badge supercharged really, the lux pack is like 6k more than the use before my dad got this we had a 2007 supercharged my dad didnt
@CasaDeGomez I completely agree with you. I'm from Britain and I just watched a few episodes of the American Top Gear and it is absolutely awful, they are trying to be too much like the British version with Clarkson. They are very Holly Wood and have terrible on camera skills. I have one tip for the guys down at Rosenthal and that is for the next review maybe step out of your comfort zone and do something you have never done e.g. go to a different state or even country!
@muffinmanx99 Some SUVs are good on the road and bad off road, like the BMWs, then there are some who are good off road but are rubbish on it, like the old VW Tuareg and the Hummer H1. And then there are some who are rubbish off road, horrible on the road, and has cheap plastic all over the cabin, like the new Cadillac escalade. Rangie is special because its one of the best off road, fantastic on the road, looks stylish, but settled and is a benchmark on luxury rivaling BMW 7 and the S-class
I'm jealous. I'd love to own a 2010 - 2012 Range Rover, but the reliability issues put me off. 2010 - 2012 Range Rovers are easily the best looking ones. King of the Road!
Small things can be big things! And sadly most company's now days don't do that nor do they car. They just car about competition! I am more likely to buy a car from a company that shows the little stuff because it shows they care, even if the interior quality isn't great. In my perspective craftsmanship, love and tradition beat everything esle!
@Jakeness21 I pay attention to the small stuff! To me, the small stuff can be big things, like, turnsignals, cup holders, when there's push button egnition and the company adds a key as well so if your remote dies u can still drive the car! Basically I notice the small stuff mor than the big stuff, it just shows that they care and put more thought into the vehicle
@mickburke15 Indeed, of course it will break down. That's part of the fun. Being loaded means you can afford to get it fixed. You started driving at an early age! Born in 1955 (assuming you are 56 as claimed).. and a Brit too ..... a very precocious child then?
@ThePrincipal94 you see, i was looking at that. the range is just so much more of a nicer place to be. to be fair, i do live in the countryside, so need something that has 4x4 capabilities. test drive this tho, if you are looking at buying one :)
@hotttbunny Here in Brazil, due the very high import taxes a Range Rover Sport Supercharged cost, at least, 300k, and a Mercedes G55 cost approx 500k, or changing into brasilian money: R$800.000,00; just millionaries can afford one of these!!!!
Not if you want 500 horses under the hood. Beauty of a vehicle built for Saudi's . Even if you can afford a used one , you would need a good chunk of you pay-cheque to fill her up.& my oil well dried up a long time ago .
@Jakeness21 I had a Jag X-type courtesy car when my scooby went for its MOT last year. Turn signal click sounded very similar. Softer, not quite as aggressive or sharp. Makes for a pleasant comfortable time in the car
@EugeneCamilleri; If you honestly believe that the Range Rover is not luxury, the BMW has the same towing capacity as a RR and that the Marauder is a 4X4 SUV? Then I guess you do not live in the same world as myself!
I dont know what is it...but the combination of the music with the review is just amazing...one little complaint......u should've made it longer...more details...cause this is such an amazing vehicle.
I'm going to stop watching your Videos. You almost had me kicked out from home because i go back and try to convince my wife into buying a New Car again. L.O.L. You get me all HYPED UP MAN....
@muffinmanx99 Wayyyyyyy better. Yes Rover's haven't been the best in reliability, but Escalades are extremely dismal....Rovers are the most prestigious and luxurious SUV's one can purchase....
Looks great & all, but I use to own 2 Land Rovers in the past and boy ( I mean literally ) they break-down month after month... Between the both of them it's LAND OVER for me...
@srk7555 On the other vid the 2010 land rover range rover sport, was very funny as well. Also is Rachel some one from your staff?(the one driving the silver land rover, blonde hair)
@mickburke15 You don't have the money Mick, you're insular. Embrace it, the US can't produce these type of cars. Try driving one, and I can guarantee you will change your tune,

Ive got a Range Rover Overfinch and it just does the job for me, as im a bussiness man i have to drive up to london every day. It has got to be my favourite luxury car. :)
@RosenthalAutomotive RU-vid was having streaming issues to certain locations about two weeks ago, it was related to DNS issues if I remember correctly. Great videos.
@1974adperelima Not yet, but I'am sure they'll do something crazy. They already have the Panamera and cayenne and next year they'll launch the cajun which is a Crossover.
@flyvid i think he is a professional actor, i have never seen him at rosenthal chantilly or tysons corner. we got our cars from them and service them there as well
I think Steve needs to take on user challenges. We submit him cars that he has to make sound epic. To start, tell me that a Honda Civic is amazing Steve.
Nice little review. Short and sweet. Please don't let trolls discourage reviewing. 99.9% can't even afford this SUV. They should have not goofed around school. Anyways. I drive the new 2013 RRSC and it was amazing. The only thing I miss from the previous model is the ease of buttons to play with. The new touchscreen is cumbersome and slow. I like direct access buttons and even the BMW touchscreen is 2 levels ahead. I personally think the 2012 center dash is classier than the 2013. Would you still purchase the 2012 RRSC for 30k less as the new one is $118k?
The best Car Review I've seen. Nice work Rosenthal or whoever you are, loved the eccentric start, great editing, wit and best of all music....I may be a bit late in finding you but I am a bit old but am a bus driver and loved your comment about rewatching video as the next best thing to owning what is the best Range Rover ever built.
