Can somthing inside the trans make the gear not spin, i changed the sensor and the gear on it doesnt spin and wont let my speedo work

There is a gear on the transmission that the sensor gear rides on..the pin that holds it in could have sheared, but doubtful. I would check to make sure you have 12v going to the sensor from the cable

did you replace a new speed sensor? or you just cleaned it?

Replaced it. Nothing to clean. It has a gear on it.
