2011 Triumph Street Triple R K&N Air Filter, High Mount Arrow Pipes Bridgestone S20 Tyres. Could not want for a better bike fantastic for road and track use also good for all skill levels. Sorry about the wind noise
GOD DAMN DUDE really! :D So fast. Sitting here, behind a cumputer screen, in the middle of the f******* winter, looking at this video, I have just made a decision to sell my R1 and buy a triumph! That bike has to be awesome! And you ride like from another planet, great to watch! :)
You can ride bro! great vid! love how you wring every drop of power out of the bike ^^ love that there's no stabiliser on the images as well, this is what it feels like to ride a bike!!
Wow! That was a ride and a half. Like it that you were chasing the instructor pretty tight before he sat back. Very very good, entertaining and what the STR is all about. You hit the nail on the head my man. More please, Sir!
Well, at least the front wheel touched the ground on some of the corners! this makes me wonder if you need a longer wheelbase, er no, you're PERFECT, it's GRAVITY that needs revising.
OH MY GOSH!!!! That is impressive. YOU are impressive sir. You got skills. And I think I know which bike I'm getting next. All I have read on the STR is good. Everyone loves it. It's got something for everyone I think. And I LOVE the way it looks. How did you get trained to ride like that?
dmshanks1 Thanks for the comment and yes I think the STR is such a fantastic bike have owned it for about 4 years now from brand new she has now got just over 40,000 Km's on her and still love every ride. Now as for training I grew up watching WSBK and MotoGP with my father and uncle also raced Go Karts during my teen years so learnt my lines etc from that and got used to high speed. However in saying that some practical rider training can never go a miss and track days are a great place to learn.
Awesome riding...Well done!!! What psi to you use at the track? I just bought the stock version (2008 model) with some upgrades, wp suspension front n' rare and leo vince exhausts. Any general suggestions for good and enjoyable track use?
What track is this? You are hauling butt man! I love my 2014 ST3R, and have watched Ken Condon videos here on youtube. It's good to see other ST3 riders out there kicking butt!
Thanks for the vid, great to watch. You were making almost everything else on the track look like they were in reverse, is the bike really that good or were most of the other guys just not trying?
Nick Burke Thanks for the reply. We have just ordered a matt black street ripple R for delivery in late August (NE Thailand). Hope we have as much fun on it as you do on yours.
@@Able4337 No its the rider obviously. How can you make that evaluation based on the bike lol. Its always the rider not the bike. I have seen people on 250 destroying 1300cc bikes.
That's just awesome. Given the choice would you prefer the Striple over the Daytona? Seems to me the street R would be an easier bike to ride because of the higher bars with more leverage.
+R.Williams Hey thanks for the comment. That is a very hard question given the choice I would have one of each the Daytona for the track and nice flowing corners and use the STR for tight roads etc as you are correct the STR has a lot of leverage making it easy to throw around. But please try both if you get the chance to see what you think
Hey thanks for the comment and question. No I did not have a quick shifter fitted just roll off the throttle and smack it through no need to use the the clutch either.
There is a funny thing happening on bikes when you lean them - if you look at the rear wheel from behind you will see that the diameter of the tyre in the middle (contact patch when the bike is straight) is bigger than it is on the edges (contact patch when you are leaning in the corner). As you accelerate and also lean the bike, the rear wheel suddenly has a smaller diamter which causes it to spin faster so the revs are going up a bit faster than usual. ....but...it still is a very fast bike :))
Hi Nick! Nice video! May I ask you a question about the Street triple R. I'm planning to buy a Street Triple R 2010 and I was concerned about the breaking system. Is it powerful enough to ride on track? Does it have enough bite? I used to have a SV650s and then bought a Fz8 and I was disappointed with the breaks (not enough bite), so I have always been a bit sceptical of roadsters and I don't want to be disappointed again. I have tried the Daytona 675 2011. Is the Street triple R breaking comparable to the Daytona? Thanks for your help.
Hey Steve, I never had any problems with the brakes on the Street Triple, I did eventually change to the Motul racing brake fluid and would run a brake pad that was better suited for higher performance riding. The brake system itself is the same as the early Daytona 675 (Comes stock on the Street Triple R) I loved this bike, for me it was the perfect all rounder 👍
