English To my mind 2011 Pro comp was so very close, I would not have liked to have been the adjudicators. I am a ballroom dancer from a long time ago, a recurring knee injury put paid to any aspirations I may have had. Latin is my first love of dance. I was taught by some of the best of their time, I know what I am looking at. I grew up in Blackpool, now live in Australia 🇦🇺. The Winter Gardens was my practice floor, that parquetry USED to be amazing, before it was damaged, now they lay a smaller floor over what once was one of the best floors in the world to dance on. How lucky were we, to have had that! My partners uncle used to do the spotlights up on the third level, back then you were not allowed up there, but we used to sneak up to get some rest between rounds. If we were asleep he'd wake us up just before the numbers call, he had the schedule. In the formation team I was in, the final rounds did not start until after 1am. I have photo whereby at the presentation we all had smiles painted on our faces, but we were literally dancing zombies, we were that tired. We had been going all day, just not formation but modern too, we girls had been changing dresses. We did not make final cut in the modern, but our team came second in the formation. My elder brothers team won, this was in the early 60's. My family were hoteliers, it was a 2min walk to the Winter Gardens, or a 10min one to the dance studio, dancing kept us off the street and out of mischief whilst our parents worked. The solo dances they do now, are a good addition to what we had, you can get a better perspective on the actual couple. I do not speak Korean, I recognised the Hangul alongside your logo. His balance, pivots, footwork, extension, deportment and line are all par excellence.
