Firstly I want to say a sincere congratulations to this incredible artist, Marquese Scott. Your original performance some 13 years ago was an obvious cultural groundbreaking moment providing phenomenal elements of dance, skill, creativity, choreography, synchronicity, and an athleticism that could never be duplicated. The performance was stunning all those years ago, and it stands so today all these years later. Bravo Marquese. Secondly, your more recent performance, and cover of your first dance now 13 years later I find to be even more remarkable. Why? It's simple, you've had to overcome 13 years of life, and so many experiences to touch that long ago groove. You absolutely did, this later dance tells us some of your life's experience, it shows a wisdom, a maturity, and a firm grip on your place in your life. I found it to be a very moving thing to witness. I believe it took courage on your part to do it again all these years later. Earlier I mentioned it couldn't be duplicated, and I believe that. I also have a high respect for the different stages of life each performance represents. These performances are incomparable, and shouldn't be used to measure against each other, they are however quite successful in measuring we, the viewers, we the audience. It's 13 years later, we must ask ourselves, " have we changed, could we repeat "? Marquese, thank you for your great God given talent, and both of these incredible performances. There's nothing like them, they're literally incomparable. Congratulations. C A
That's cause it means something.. imaging being 16 rn and seeing both of these for first time? Don't matter what's best they tell the same story in diff ways 💯
@@mikeoxsbigg1what the… I didn’t expect to see you here my Disko Starz fan! I am so glad that you enjoy Pumped Up Kicks and the Dubstep version too! I love these songs as well, I jammed to these a lot back in 2021-22. So amazing!
You gotta remember, nonstop danced to this song a million times at shows around the world after the original video went viral. Dancing to the same song can kill the initial feeling he first had for the song. However, the amount of experience he gained reflects in the newest video, you can never really beat the original but its still levels above what people can ever achieve.
I understand that too as a dancer that is true it's like having a trip n trying to recreate the trip like it only happens once but there are other songs that can make you have this feeling again if it's the right one
Yeah, that's what I find stunning with the first one, his *absolute* level of *_PRECISION_* with every single tiny muscle. I'd swear on that day, the original, he could have caught a fly with chopsticks multiple times in a row without missing. His *_accuracy_* was insane. He still *is* levels above most everyone else, but on that day... he transcended what was possible.
The 2011 video will always be special. The video l saw back in high school and been watching ever since. Thats years of work to master those moves. Respect
2011 was planned art, the new one looks like a chaotic freestyle. The moves were not overdone in 2011, like it was telling a story, the new one feels like someone trying to tell a story but going down paths that don't push the story forward.
Watch both videos for the first time today, but the camera angle from the first video looks much better because of that line on the floor ending in the corner. Performance is amazing on old and new version 😁🤘
The original video has a very large part of my heart and always will. The first time I saw it I was actually in rehab. A girl talked me into "watching a guy dance" I mean come on...guys don't dance, and even more so guys certainly don't Watch other guys dance! See when I was a little boy my dad would hit me if I cried...and then of course if I cried from that, he would hit me more. "You will thank me for this when you become a REAL man!" one of the things he loved to say. I saw this video and it was almost poetic and beautiful and exactly what I needed to see in that very moment. So I sat there pretty damn mesmerized, and yeah I can proudly admit now that in that moment I cried.
This is very nice with some of the changed visuals, but the original was PERFECT! Nothing needed to be changed......tho maybe... he wasn't trying to improve or change with the new version at all. Simply adding beauty, js 🥰
Old one has the rawness but I can clearly See the gained experince diffrence in new one but you sir aways just killing the beat and my Favorite and my inspiration too Thanks for Entertaining us with your unique dance... 🤙🤙
Incredible in 2011 and crazy progress on the newer one. You are a true legend in the dance and EDM community. We love you. Dragon Family IRIS Family forever
The first time he choreographed more specifically for the song, and built up and hit beat points more thoughtfully. But I love the showcase of everything he'd learned and advanced to in the update
He was and still is a legend!!! I remember when the first video came out and how many times we watched it over and over. The guys tried to duplicate but he is the OG 🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾
I saw this 12 years ago and the difference .. sure he plays more to the 'audience' as it were but there's also a lot more being in tune with the music I love that he revisited the original and showcased his development A man who loves what he does Thank you for showing us this passion you kept. So much respect for you
You know what’s the gunna be the best is 2031. I can’t wait for that! I remember back in 2011, I used to wanted to be like you, and I was. And my whole friends and family loved me doing dubstep. I once did it in front of 1000, people and I was nervous and I thought I did bad but I did great.
I just felt like watchin this yet AGAIN today cause I’ve had a hard time gettin anything accomplished so far and somehow this motivates me to get off my butt and DO STUFF. I’m a 63 year old white dude who has been a drummer all my life. I’ve played in Rock Bands from the eighties and beyond mainly in genres from heavy rock like Zeppelin, Ozzy, Def Leopard and more a along those lines to my latest gig, Praise & Worship music in Pentecostal Churches. After all that I STILL get a big rush outta watchin These vids. This stuff, “Dub Step “ , as interpreted and presented by MARQUES is imo just way beyond most of today’s new music and the “magic” choreography this guy produces and his GENIUS in remixing 5:21 the music of these songs is just mind blowing and fabulously presented as a showcase of the genre and HIS awesome talent and so different and more innovative than anything out there today and is as INSPIRING as it is creative and free from the gloom and doom a lot of todays music carries and promotes. I admire this guy’s original creativeness and ability to showcase it in the right way. I’m still blown away by it and will always enjoy it immensely. Yes sir! My hat’s way off to ya, man. Now Carry on!
The thing that makes me love this video so much is not that Nonstop got better a decade later… but it’s the way that the first video made so much success and happiness to Nonstop a decade later that it shows on the second video
I dance like that, freestyle, give the music total control of your body, don't force it, it will tell you what to do, you are the canvas, let the music handle you. I have impressed many times, two times I have been impressed by a random dancer that danced with me, they flow just like me.
In many ways I hate to write this. I'll first say there's no doubt he's extremely talented as well as at the top rung of the UpRock game. Having been a breakdancer in the 1980's when it all started I've seen many people try to be as good as this and faril but (the part I don't want to but feel I must say) I've also witnessed some just as accomplised wherein every move, and style(s) he does is without a doubt from the 80's. Again, it's masterfully done, so that's not a question. Just saying.
@@blakakraka I'm not really sure what you mean by potatoes but it seems safe to think you feel it's some sort of insult to me or somehow witty. Idk but what I'm certain of is it falls short on either account it that was your intent.
...........ten progres je neskutečný...AMAZING !!! I see you , how to say it....od začátku. Přivedl jsem k Tobě mého synka a on jde stále ve Tvých šlépějích... Máme fajn život, no ne.. ? : )
My opinion, nostop became like a guitarrist with a lot of notes... mas not same felling as before... he changes from sentimental to multiple notes. but still legend.
is very very nostalgic watch this video, since first time i see that iam learning to dance like robot and this video give me much inspiration, congratulations nonstop you are amazing i like your movements, but, the 2011 have more naturally movements, more than another way in 2021 your moves are great.... you are my inspiration ever..... sucess ever man....... (y)
I think most say the original is better but it was new, unique , introduced many of us to dubstep and left a lasting impression. however i reckon the newer one is technically more impressive. If that came first most would choose that as the better one. Haven't said that i prefer different elements of both
Bro your moves have come a long way didn't see you made a remake, but 11 was just lit the Marinette feel is unopposed and in my opinion can't be topped keep climbing my friend you are an incredible force🔥🔥🔥🔥
2011 flawless I spotted that about the moment it dropped online 2021 got some new moves indeed smooth but you can see 2011 he was at a pinnacle body control etc. that's life youth man move like the wind . but hey its sick to see him bust out that act again years later period hats off to the professor , Ill never forget 2011 so much killer shit was cracking .Thx my brother for making your mark peace .
