This video captures both the sun and the rain of the Grand Procession in honor of Saint Agrippina, held on Sunday, August 5, 2012 through the streets of Boston's North End.
It was an extremely hot and humid day as twenty men carried the heavy statue of the Saint Agrippina through all the North End streets. When the procession reached St. Anthony's Club on Endicott Street, the heavens opened and pouring rain came down. After a short delay, it was a slip 'n slide run back to the feast on Hanover Street.
When the rain let up, the guys performed the "Dance of 20 Men" for the grateful crowd, although the street was too wet to do the traditional Tug of War. At the end, the fiery "VIVA" fireworks sign lit up the feast.
