Suggestions: pre-fill the new oil filter before installing and start car with gas pedal fully depressed (flood mode). Engine will crank without starting until gas pedal is released. Helps pressurize oiling system before full start.

No need to replace the washer I reuse mine all the time.

should you prefill the new oil filter to avoid dry starts?

No need to do that because then your putting unfiltered oil in your engine

So helpful. I just got done changing the oil on my mother's car. Just out of the shop for clutches in the automatic tranny. Cost 2,000 Dollars. Can you do a video on that?

Thank you. I actually just finished doing the dual clutch in a ford focus which will be pretty much the same as the fiesta. I’m in the process of editing it now and should be out next week.

Did you have to add a gasket to the drain plug?

No there should be on already installed on your drain plug it’s a black rubber one that usually stays sunken into the drain plug when you pull it out and it’s fine reusing it.
