+Daniel13l lmao , turbo vs non turbo barely pulled by a nose... I owned a mk5 gti btw. as good of a car as the gti is for the same price ( both fully loaded 24k vs 30+k ) you can turbo a Si and basically whoop anything you see on the road..
whambodius Anything with a big turbo can outpull every other car on the streets. It's not a civic exclusive thing. Did you see the Mk1 golf with 1056 hp? the damn thing beat a Yamaha R1. It's still a 2.0 turbocharged engine, but with shit tons of tuning and well made hardware to support it. I don't get why honda people think having a v-tec makes 'em so special, any car that is properly built can pull of big numbers. And don't start with that "all motor vs turbo" it's vtec vs turbo, vtec isn't all motor
Joseph DePaolo Alright fair enough, but still Honda preaches their vtec way too much, i have a friend who's got an Infiniti Q50S 3.7 V6, and got the same kind of technology, he can rev really high and get a boost around 7k, all motor too, but they just don't call it vtec. It's nothing special really.
bluex217 driver error and stock most likely. A FBO 8th or 9th will pull hard on a stage 1 mk6. My Speed6 will trash both but we won’t talk about that ;)
real eyes realize real lies Nah. The little K03 is enough. It beat the SI. The Si was tuned and the GTI was not. With a stage 1 tune the GTI would’ve been gone.
GyroPyro12 a FBO 8th gen vs a FBO mk6 is dead even, and the Civic is n/a lol. I love GTI’s but k03’s run out of breath so fast. The new is20 is a MUCH better turbo, almost matches a k04. The is38 blows the k04 out of the water
