The Drop Carve has gone through a lot of changes over the years and we are very proud of the 2012 model. Two sizes, Double kick, snappy flex, light on weight but heavy on fun. Billy Bones and Dave Rudgers demonstrate that you can do anything on this board. Dillon's in there too!

I've been ripping it up on a custom strapped Bustin Ibach, and man, this video stood out to me. The cinematography, riding, and interviews just really made it pop. Even though I'm not looking, damn is that on my ultra wish list.

Dominique D, when I got this board, it was the first step-up from my drop down, and the biggest thing you will have to get used to is how far it is off the ground. Another thing is exploring the possibilities with the new kick tails! Those are the biggest differences when adjusting from the nine-two-five. Hope this helped!

i think its because you have more foot space with the longer board which will give you more stability but overall you can slide probly almost as well with the 37

Personally I didn't notice a difference when I put bearing spacers on the board. And shock pads are pretty much a must if your going to drop the trucks through. HAPPY SHREDDING MY FRIEND!

Oh yes you did get a reply!!! Bear 852 black or raw, zombie mini hawgs for freestyle/freeride or monster mini hawgs for cruising/faster speeds. bearings don't matter and you can fix bushings depending on your weight. Anything else your concerned about?

Cant decide between the Loaded Tan Tien or Landyachtz Dropcarve for my first freestyle deck! im now riding a Original pintail 40, does anybody have suggestions?!

I'm 5'9 and growing. I was thinking of getting the 40" but not sure if it would be to big for me. I plan on doing allot of cruising, carving and a bit of footwork on the board. Anybody have any opinions on what size I should get?

I reserved the 37" but iuno, will it be easier to do tricks? I'm 5'8 and already have the 41" bustin robot (my brother's), my 36" snapped. So iuno if I should go with the 37" or the 40".

What size board are they using? I I'm 5'9" and I already have a tan tien so i'm looking at the 36 inch drop carve and i wanted to make sure it's not too short because I know I'm on the edge between short and long boards height wise.

apex 40 is topmounted, this is drop thru mounted, which means it will break into slide that little bit easier at lower speeds, it's also probably lighter than the apex 40 my friend has one, beautiful board but a bit on the heavy side.

I'd advice you to take a look at FiveMile Longboards, Nelson Longboards and ofcourse LongboardLarry DK Penguin if you want a freeride/downhill deck with kicktails. If you're looking for a straight downhill/freeride deck i'd suggest the Arbor Prodigy or Arbor Vugenhausen.

does the short one have a lot of flex or is it moderate? Im only 5'2" and around 125lbs. would it have too much... I would like a moderate amount of flex but not too much... are there other boards similar to this one out there that I could try? any other with drop through trucks and a functional kicktail? from 34' ti 36' would be perfect ;)

Hey Landyachtz, I use a 2011 Drop Speed at the moment, and I really love it, but I need new trucks, since Gullwing Charger 180s aren't wide enough (as well as being an average truck). What would you recommend? Calibers look sick, but a few people say they aren't ideal for this design of board. Are paris 195s the best? a reply from anyone would be great. Thanks :D

Could you please tell me if it still heavy or not? Like heavier than a Tan Tien or as heavy? This is the last question that needs to be answered before I purchase it! I had the Apex 40 and it was made out of carbon fiber but still was pretty heavy. All those layers look heavy. Am I right or is it actually light? Please use like the Tan Tien as a comparison.

Yeah, when i was 10 i used to skateboard but then i stopped. 5 years later and i was back skating, but on a longboard. And i had no problems. I've been longboarding for a year and tought like 3-5 people how to longboard ;)
