My bike did the same thing. Threw codes P1511, P2135, and U1040. So far I've paid for HD to change the sparks plugs, disconnect my fuel pak, install a new throttle body and this morning it did the same darn thing again. I'll take a good look at that connector and maybe put some dielectric grease on the pins. Thanks for the video
My 2008 Road King did the same thing and had same error code. Wire is just loose. I wiggled the wire and engine light went out. All works good now. Gonna get her home and fix this up. Thanks so much. Better than going to the Harley dealer and having them tell me all the stuff needs replaced and spend a couple K to repair lol.
My 08 electra glide did the same damn thing...checked for the codes, didn't see any errors, wiggle the throttle body wire and it fired up and got me home safe... took the bike out again, and it did the same thing and had it towed home about 2 miles.. I haven't messed with it for about a month... after I get done with my home projects, I will get the hands dirty again... thanks for the video, brotha! By the way, your bike looks nice!!!
So my bike is having the same problem and I went to Harley to ask them for the harness and they don’t have just that piece. What did you do for permanent fix?
They put too much crap on these bikes too hard to work on I need to go back to the simple things you can buy a 2003 Harley and ride it forever and never have a problem with electrical in my opinion the new sportsters and the newer Sportsters over 2000 year model junk you got limp mode you got throttle problems you got ECM problems you got throttle position sensor O2 sensor too much crap and when you were riding down the highway having a good time and it goes to idle that's called limp mode and if you found it and fixed it quickly good luck to you most people spend $1,000 on a bike just trying to figure out which plugs wrong and what's what's going on
