Thanks for showing me this video, I was baffled, my mechanic friend told me he can do this with a junkyard part, but didn’t know if I should just go to dealership and let them look at it since they’re the “professionals” 🤦🏾♂️
Thank you!! , I really appreciate the video .I have the exact issue and initially I thought I needed to replace the entire thing. Great to know I can just replace the module . Was reading this part is really faulty in many Hondas . Will then take the old module and send it for repair and keep it saved in the event replacement also goes bad after some time.
You’re welcome, I’m glad the video can help others save money, it’s crazy the dealership won’t sell the module separately. I opened my original module and the wires are poor quality and fragile. Good idea sending in the original module to have as a back up.
Nice video, thank you for taking time to film this. I have a 2014 pilot with code 66-13 Pressure Sensor (Inside of VSA Modular Control Unit) circuit malfunction. I assume this is the same procedure to fix my issue? I just replace the black part with the circuit board, not the silver part, correct?
You’re welcome, yes it’s the same. Swap the model with a working model should and you should be good. You won’t have to open the or bleed the ABS system at all.
Any tips for getting the connector off? I think there is a tab on the bottom as well as the top. Also, the white clip thing moves but I am not sure exactly how it goes.
The white clip is the conector release, it only has a tab on the top. Push the release tab on top and pull the white clip back & down, that will demate the conector from the module. It will take a bit of force.
I got the same number on the module, the module had number F17A on the bottom, the top had SZBA1. I was able to fine 2 different scrapyards with the same module #. If I recall, the difference was AWD vs FWD. and the span was 2012-2015 it I remember correctly.
I have a 2015 Honda Accord Sport doing the exact same thing. If I get a used ABS module will it need to be reprogrammed to work with my car or is it just plug n play?
