just got this car in blue, it is a excellent car for its price. I recommend it for people that are looking for a nice sporty car. It is great on gas and will never disappoint. I think its mostly for people in high school/college because it is a nice, cheap car.
i use to think mitsubishi's were junkie but man they are actually really reliable, cheap and easy to repair just wish they had a better look to them it's pretty awesome to they could also come with 4wd here in canada that's amazing
I love driving a lacer. I own a 2011 (which comes without the rear wang). They are very reliable and they drive smooth. They don't accelerate super quickly. But they have a high top speed 120+ MPH
Got my Lancer to 210 km/h yesturday - It seemed like it could go a little faster but I was too scared of getting dat dere speeding ticket even at 5 am. I'll probably never try to go fast again but it was 5 am and I was running late for my course. A fast car, I must say!
It's funny how low they rate mpg. I manage 26-28 city and 38-40 highway in my 2008 2.0. Just gotta really understand how the cry works and its easy from then on out. No problems with my car. Still looks brand new, about 75k miles on it now. Had it for almost 5 years.
Howdy Steve...I dug your test review of this Mitsubishi Lancer SE AWD...one question: Why do you suppose Mitsubishi didn't make a sunroof or a high powered audio package with subwoofer optional with this SE AWD model for those of us who want these extras? If I decide to purchase this vehicle I'd have to go after market for those extras..something I'm not keen on doing but would do so considering there's no factory alternative. Whatcha think? Peace!
I dont know why people think CVTs work. They keep the engine up high, makeing moreheat, burning exess fuel. 8speed/9speed gear boxes are biger, heavyer but the engine has more gears to be in that sweetspot if fuel econimy
Some things I wish U could have added was 0-60 & 1/4 miles times & the vehicles braking distances. Things of that nature R important 2 some of the potential buyers. How about the warranty? 5/60,000 bumper to bumper, 10/100,000 on the power train. I haven't needed mine at all & I have 43K on my 2010 GTS. My last 08 GTS had 50K & was also trouble free. As far as the CVT & "terrible" mileage??! I routinely get mid 20's with mine around town & mid 30's on the highway. It's all in the way you drive.
The styling has aged quite nicely considering Bush was just leaving offce when released. LOL. The awc is cool..wish they offered it in the Sportback with a proper manual gearbox. Oh, well. Off to Subaru I go.....
yeah man, just a little typo, as long as everyone understood, its been 3 weeks from my last comment so im just not seeing this, my bad. but yeah my max is 37 now on the highway. 40 is my goal, also to comments below about ac, i have made about 32-34mpg with the ac on, on the highway, if i have my front windows down but my rear ones up, i dont get to good mpg, everything down, and you can make 32-36mpg easy at 2,000rpm. just saying for anyone who doesnt know.
Well as great of a company as mitsubishi use to be they're pretty much failing in everything they make now adays. They've completely drawn out of making tvs after their quality control went to pure shit, They're down to 3 models or cars and could easily with draw from that too. They really need someone to step up and restructure their company or its going down.
CVTs are torque killers...This car is still around? Mitsubishi needs to be better with marketing... Now that the Gallant is gone this will be the only sedan for a while, if they don't follow through on their option to exit the US
Wow Mitsubishi still makes cars? Lol. Surprising considering all they sell are the lancers. They looked good a few years ago but now look cheap and dated. The interior is horrible. Cheap plastic, no colors, no styling to the dash. It is so ugly and screams rental car. It also have a awful CVT which does nothing for gas mileage in this car. Not to mention reliability for Mitsubishis including this one, have been horrible. Save your money. Don't buy this. Mitsubishi will be out of business soon a
