Proton has really improved in terms of technology and maybe even build quality in the past few years.It's good to see that our national car maker is learning from their mistakes and criticisms. Sekadar nak maklumkan. Model terbaru Preve dah dilengkapi dgn 7" LCD screen sama macam dlm Suprima. Warranty pulak ditambah sehingga 7 tahun. Baru lepas pandu uji kereta Preve Premium tengah hari tadi. Memang rasa selesa dan menyakinkan bila pandu. Bawak 100km/j Preve rasa macam bawak 70km/j guna Proton Persona. Safety pun tip top. Cuma kkrgn dia takde leather seat dgn front & reverse camera.
For the first time, this car is something worth having as an everyday or a first car, despite maybe it lack some features compared to more modern cars... at least Proton is trying to get somewhere at last :)
use this car for almost two years now. never had problems with my car. it is right to speak out your opinion but please dont judge others for buying proton. if u have problem with proton, why u must judge others?

selepas memandu 18 bulan saya berpendapat untuk pemanduan yang laju preve lebih baik dan menyakinkan berbanding kereta yg sekelas spt almera, city dan vios..malah lebih menyakin berbanding dgn camry 2.0..tapi dari segi penggunaan minyak ia menggunakan minyak yg lebih berbanding dgn pesaingnya..kualiti ketahan, enjin semua memuaskan.......
The early BMWs which had the push button start but no comfort access did require the insertion of the key fob into a slot on the dash before being able to start the car.
Did I ever insult Proton? Not once. Well, they might not be the best back in the day, but they have improved over time. That being said, Protons are fairly reasonable cars to drive.
is amazing how I've actually decided to buy a VIVA when I put it against PREVE. LOL~!! Never regret getting VIVA but will come back to Preve again after Proton achieve a few more milestones. Still haven't recover from my Proton-phobia.

I think this is Malaysian pride, although is still not up to big brands standards, but it shows the world Malaysia but better and better cars! (I'm not Malaysian, but I do know quite a lot of previous proton models and this is what I think)

the push start is really funny feature,coz the amount of time u spend starting it up,by putting the key n den pressing brk and then push,u cudve easily just push started the car like the real push start options available on foreign cars,anyway the car is quite nice,i luv the rear tail led lights:)
can any Preve owner comment on the durability and quality of the car over time? does it break down often? any quality issue? any wear and tear that are not normal?

The blinking LED is because of the camera and the LED that doesn't sync the lighting properly. Check out the Ferrari 458 italia review by top gear, it's also the same thing. so don't worry about it :D
If I may, LED actually flickers. It's just that our eyes are too slow to see it flicks. With cameras, they capture more frames per seconds. So don't worry, it's not your camera's problem. ;)
The government taxes foreign cars to the point where the local people have to buy the cheap, out-dated designs of local cars. The Preve is a sign of Proton making better cars that can compete with the competition, unlike past cars.
Singapore has proton The whole of UK has proton i doubt their classified as 3rd world countries. Be proud of what your country has achieved as Proton really has come far from what it was in the olden days. Even Petronas has come a long way.
yes your friends are correct. Inspira is better than preve. If you want to buy a malaysian car i think the inspira is the better choice. i do hope that u can find the best and suitable car for u. Good Luck!!
thanks for the short review =D just 1 last question what's the fc like? cause i'm torn between this and the inspira and knowing the inspira is has pretty good fc base on some of my friends driving it
