It actually sounds nice. It have that deep burble from the exhaust. Recently, my brother changed the exhaust using the HKS exhaust specifically made for the 86 and it sounds nicer.

It depends on how the car is specced up for that particular country. If I'm not wrong, all 86s/GT86s/FR-S/BRZ come with keyless entry and start.

I have seen many, many reviews of the GT 86 as buying one in a year or two to replace my Celica ST230 and have to say yours feels like the most detailed especially regards features and interior.

It is explained in the video. Toyota GT86, Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ and the Scion FRS are the same thing, with minimal differences. The Scion FRS was the last addition to the lineup, being made only for North America.

Haha. I myself prefer an actual key to start. Plus I don't get why people can't just whip out the key fobs and press them buttons to unlock and stuff

I was voicing over the stuff that I actually said during filming, so it would be easier to cut out the audio to the whole part...

I want one of these so bad I currently have a 2000 Camry LE as my first car and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to afford one of these for another 4 to 5 years which is why I'm hoping they stayTrue to this model until then as I would love to have this. This car seems to be good for me as I'm 5 foot 8 and don't require much room and I usually only drive 1 or 2 people at the same time so the seating wouldn't be bad plus It is a fun car and I'd love to stray away from my 11 sec (0-60) automatic Camry even though it is a great car.

I believe they're what you call ultrasonic sensors? It's for the alarm system.

hey alex. please enlighten me. in other toyota 86 walkaround and review, some of the features here are not in the other videos. like the keyless entry etc. is this exclusive only to your country or not? love your videos bro.

U.K got much better Toyota GT86 then our crappy American Scion FRS... Better headlights, better navigation, better climate control, smart key, power folding mirrors... Ahh... Wish those options were available here!

Update on the car and how it’s holding up? Problems faced too if any are there.

I'm not sure if the price is simular to every dealer around the world but a Toyota 86 is cheaper than a Subaru Brz (Same Car). The Toyota 86 is about 34 grand for the new 2017 model here in Australia but for the BRZ is about 37 grand... but the only slight difference is the front end of the Brz. I don't know why Subaru would be more expensive than the 86 when the brz & 86 have the same mechanical things like motor etc.

What country what?? If you mean where the video was filmed, then it's the UK.

No the voiceover it sounds late because. when you say turn on the lights take a look at the engine etc. it got said or whatever when you got off the car so it sounds late.

Actually in North America only the BRZ limited comes with push button start/stop. FRS only comes in the basic 86 package.

In my family we own a BMW and a Mercedes. I'm thinking of this as my first car, but im wondering whether i'll like it for daily use because its so different to the luxury focus of those other cars. Baring in mind that i'm a car fanatic, do you think it's good for my first car?

The dashboard is totally different. The Celica is front wheel drive while this is rear wheel drive. There is no real predecessor to this car except the AE86s from the 80s.

I think you meant...put your foot on the clutch and for extra safety, the brake. Because that 6MT model won't start without the clutch engaged. hehehe :P

So I have now a Mr2 Spyder, before that I rolled in an 91Mr2 from my dad. I am now thinking in getting a gt86. I see it as the continuation of the rear wheel driver's car from Toyota more that the new AE86 though. In Switzerland I could get one for around 26000 CHF. Only thing is I love the handling of my present MR2, well balanced as no other car, like a buggy. I know that it doesn't have the power of others cars but 4 me it was good enough. In the paper both MR2S and Gt86 have pretty much the same times and the extra weight of the 86 is compensated by the extra power. I just find it way prettier...I still need a test drive to see the differences between them. Do any1 know the two cars and could advise me if I am doing a good purchase
