Our SRi model offers an enhanced specification over the standard car with a luxurious, yet practical 1/2 leather interior which has a real high-quality feel and some superb detailing, such as the red lighting which graces both the door cards and centre console of this car. There is also lashings of aluminium and chrome detailing for that clean, sexy look. This car stands out from lesser Astra models with its smart multi-spoke alloy wheels along with sporty front fog lights. As you can see it is thoroughly modern looking and very attractive. Not only is this one of the best Astras we have seen, it is also a superb drive. With 162 bhp from its 2 litre CDTI engine, this car has ample power to keep you entertained and with its excellent chassis, that power is easily exploited and put to good use. 0-60 mph takes just 8.4 seconds and the car will power on to an impressive 131 mph flat out. What's more that power is delivered so smoothly through the 6 speed gearbox - It really is a joy to use and makes the Astra GTC a very relaxing car to drive. The superb ride comfort and cruise control make this model superb on the motorway - It is very smooth and quiet at speed and I find this model as capable as the larger Insignia models. Around town and when parking, the front and rear park distance sensors are fabulous.
If you're looking for a sports hatch, our Astra GTC is a car that it surprisingly practical as well as good fun to drive and will be a joy to own!
