Love the sound of this bike. Some of the bikes you test are just loud, but irritating. This bike has a sort of soothing sound.

I just bought one yesterday and it rides easier and is more nimble than a VTX 1300. It's lighter too.

That might not be accurate I have not rode a VTX 1300 I hear they're pretty quick I had a road star Silverado edition it was very clean ran like it was supposed to it just was surprisingly slow for me anyway and I was coming from a 750 Honda Shadow lol

Beautiful bike , I would like to think that there may be some sort of piggy back fuel correction under the seat .. Man that's gonna sell quick .. Just a lovely bike. Sounds better and better as it warms up more ..

I bought an 00 model RS in 03 as a beginner and I would have to agree bwith you. The learning curve was difficult but loved the bike.

I don't use my jaw or face near as much as you do but 45 years of ridding with a half helmet only in states that require it or cold and rain. I was born a squid.

Throw the fairing on bro when ur doing 60 70 its better i have a 1600 w a fairing its heavy but im glad its there way less wind

Remove the pollution stuff up front, fill the two holes with 45 cal casings n no more backfires n popping...better fuel economy

On top of that about the helmet talk, June bugs and bumblebees hurt when they hit. I wear a full helmet too.

The 2005 Roadstar has carbs. This 2012 is fuel injection? Does the fuel injection feel smoother quite a bit more? I believe Roadstar came out with fuel injection in 2007?

Hey man! Love the vids you produce. I know you don't recommend this bike or the Royal Star Tour Deluxe for newbies, but I am having a hard time deciding between the two. 33 years old, owned a Ninja 636 for a summer in my early 20's.... Familiar with riding mainly off-road. Want something to learn on pavement while also working towards loading wife and heading out on weekend runs. A 'buy once; cry once' type of deal. If you've any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. Thanks a lot!

Yamaha>Kawasaki Why don't you just go a step above both, and get the KING of the Stars: The XV1900 Roadliner The aluminum frame weighs about half what the Roadstar does, and no other bike can touch the horsepower of that 113 ci monster of an engine. By far the most comfortable, best handling, and most powerful bike I've ever owned.
