NOTES FOR FINISHER ASSEMBLY REPAIR: (did this with a 2017 Pathfinder) to remove the entire finisher assembly you will need an 8mm socket for your ratchet. there are TWO screws attaching the finisher assembly AND TWO screws hold the back up camera 1. at 1:29 you have to remove that rectangular handle (it is on the right side of the panel, left of screw) you should do this after you remove the rivet/screws. 2. you also have to remove the back up cam (he doesn't show this) the cam is attached to the assembly with 2 screws (you need a really small screwdriver for this) 3. at the end, when you push the rivets BACK IN to mount the back panel, the rivets have a plunger type action and you have to pull it open then push in...you can't push these in UNLESS they are "popped up", push in, they pop back down and fasten bought finisher assembly it online at HGreg Nissan in Palmetto, Florida for $140 (on sale) good luck!
I only replaced the switch on my 2013 Pathfinder and it's less than 10 min fix. I ordered my switch for $60 @ coulter nissan. Recieved it in a few days. Pry the 4 black plugs, pry the back panel off. I pryed the side clips of the switch inward until it came out of the trim piece. I used a small precision flat head. When the switch is out, go back inside the hatch and just push the small white tab to remove the old wiring pigtail. Fish it out from the outside where the switch is dangling from the chrome trim. Put the new switch in starting with the white clip and fish it in. Plug the white clip in to make sure it works and test it. If it works, just push the new switch in and you'll hear the side clips engage. Reassemble the back panel. To put the 4 plugs back in, push the lower part down then insert into hole and push the head in. I was super happy it took 10 minutes!
You should buy only the switch the expensive one was the chrome about $200 plus I don’t know why Nissan doing this the button was so sensitive mine broke right away someone try to open by the chrome it was loose and fly on the road now I have to change both thank you for sharing
Have the same issue here but the whole plastic chrome section came off. Ordered the part at the same place you got it CEM T Channel should I arrive soon. FYI Don't waste your time at your local dealer will rip you off with a $280+ part and install add $100 per hr. ridiculous!!!
@@andresusilo1 Yes I was able to fix it. Is very simple to do it. Go to Google and type the part# Nissan 90810-9PG2D should give you few options pick the best one
I would like to know where you got the part and how much. I need to do the same thing to my 2018. The reason mine broke was because the seal around the hatch door sticks. What I did was put some axle grease on 3/4 around the seal and that has kept is from sticking.
Never buying Nissan again ... a bunch stuff already broke on my pathfinder. Junk Radiator Fan, Shocks, rust, door latch not locking, trunk button busted, I hear the front wheel bearings going out. Less than 100K miles on the SUV.
