2013 BMW F30 328i Front Door Stuck Locked While Closed (Won't Open) 

Thanks for the upload! This saved me quite some time. For anyone else stuck in the same position, Essentially you only need to turn the yellow/white cogwheel in either direction and pull up lock until it locks in place.

Dude! Tysm for this video! This literally just happened to me, I have a 12’ 328i (Sportline). The “bowd “ cable snapped so I couldn’t open it for the outside, then, the actuator completely broke and had to crawl back thru the rear seat. So for me, I didn’t have to spin that white disc you showed, all I did was used a pick tool to lightly (jam) the black latch to left as you explained . After that, you’ll be able to open the door. So annoying having to replace both the actuator and the cable that connects to the exterior handle. 🤙🏾

I saved some money thanks to you, I slightly damaged the door trim because the dashboard prevents the door trim from being properly unclipped but a small scratch in the corner between the door and the dashboard so you can't see anything. thanks.

Bro the beer and the hoe’s are all on me my guy. The only tut online. I didn’t have that ring on my 2016 but I did find a lever that I could click to open. Now it actually works again. Locking and unlocking. You da man

So why does it happen? This happened to me but didn’t even realize until I closed the door so it broke when I closed it.

This just happened to me but on the passenger side. I assume you got the door trim/cover off whilst the door was locked shut? Was is difficult?
