Your sadly mistaken. This car has a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds and the challenger 392 is 4.4 seconds to 60. This car is about 3500 pounds where as the challenger is 4200 pounds. Alot lighter. Think before you speak.

I bet if the taillight bezels were a matching black like the rear splitter, rear spoiler & the hood, this amazing looking Camaro would look even better. The chrome looks a little out of place in my opinion. At least it's an easily fixable mod that seems to be popular with other SS owners. Awesome 1LE!! I love these videos! :)

man I gotta tell you, I drove the Mustang GT this week and I also tested the Camaro SS. In my honest opinion, the Camaro is a better car in so many ways... Not to mention the 1LE and it's track capabilities. Great job Chevy!

Haha this is to prove that Americans can't make cars to save their lives.. The interior of this car is absolutely pathetic! This pile of crap has an oversized engine and nothing else. I'd prefer a Boxter or a Z4 to this shit.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Boxster and Z4 are roadsters. This is a purpose built track car with some road going comfort. You don't buy this for interiors. You buy this for the brakes, wheels, sticky tires, the big LS V8, the short throw shifter precision, track tunes suspension. Think your Boxster or Z4 will catch this one on a track? think again.

I imagine you have probably not driven a boxster, at least not lately. The only element of the Camaro that makes it a little quicker on a race track is its wonderful engine. Appart from this, it actualy has almos 600 Kg more weight to deal with (equal to around 8 average men) It is also NOT a mid engined car as ALL purpose built race cars are. I own a Boxster Spyder, and used to be a F3 racing driver. As far as I am concern there is no better handeling car in the world than a boxster. All this aside: I too would like to own a Camaro but certainly not for the reasons you mentioned.

@elsakkaf. Sure sir.. you are far more experienced than me.I like the Boxster and believe that Porsche makes the right sports cars. My favorite Porsche being the 70's 930 Carrera RS. I also love the 959. But I do have a hard time believing that stock for stock, a Boxster can catch a Z28 on a track. Don't think I am a Chevy Fanboy, but based on the specs and laptimes the Z28 had in Nurburgring, I doubt if the Boxster can even touch it. Z28 has made the Camaro from a 1/4 mile drag strip car,to a track monster now.

@Stealth Mercenary Who's lives were at risk? I only saw one pickup truck pass by him the entire video. He wasn't anywhere near other drivers and putting them at risk. The morons who whip in and out of traffic without signaling are the one's putting other drivers at risk, not an experienced driver driving on roads with very little traffic. If you don't like it, don't watch it then. Nobody wants to hear you complaining like a little girl.

That is not the stock tire - OEM was a Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar : G2 in 285 tread width all the way around. FOH with those 'All-Seasons' come on MAN...! ; )

I noticed that the 2013 SS & SS 1LE with the HUD doesn't have a G-Meter like the 2005+ Corvette does. I wonder why, especially with the 1LE pkg?

It's a vinyl wrap. I have a 2015 1LE and the hood and spoilers have a wrap from 3m.

Me and a friend rented a yellow Camaro SS for five days in our trip to Miami and was fun, although I found the seat very low and its quite dark inside with the small windows.That could be an issue when you drive at night, when its raining and freeways are not friendly with lots of trucks almost running over you.We are from Brazil and this car costs at least 100k here. We end up looking like the Dumb&Dumber partners as we shop to death in the outlets, like we've found a case full of cash...

Here is a speech for you Clareverson, I owned a 2010 camaro for over a year, yes I didn't have the tire or suspension work, or even the 100 drop weight, after modded the hell out of it I know what it's capable of and if your 0-60 was the best match up that could beat the challenger and you choose that because of it, that's pathetic. The challenger will be the camaro 1le is a quarter mile professional vs professional. Street or drag strip. The camaro beats it in corners.

Its not that bad for it, especially for a press car.. They get beaten to shit, and sell cars better than anything. I expect press cars to be thrashed. Much like chris harris does. Not just a couple 1-2 maybe 3 gear passes then slow down, click on the blinker and turn.

No that's just the redline set by the factory...probably because of its stroke, and lack of forged internals. To rev higher you generally want a shorter stroke, and beefier internals. Luckily the LS3 makes good power and torque without needing to rev high.

...Same...difference? FYI Its actually called an SS 1LE, so don't tell me to do research. It just happens to come with a lot of upgrades (suspension, wheels, transmission gearing, paint scheme) for the money.

I could be wrong, but this is not what I have heard. It was supposed to be 6-speed only with tighter gearing in 1st through 4th (which is why its slightly faster to 60, and in the quarter mile than the regular SS).

Who the hell reads the manual? Just messing with ya. I have a 2013 SS from Febuary. I love it. First day I had it I kept my foot in it. I currently have 1811 miles on it. It's an experience driving it, let alone owning it.

Over here in Europe, it cost 3 times more, since we have a lot higher taxes. So this car cost like a BMW M3 or a Mercedes C63 and compared to them, this great sounding car have a hideous interior like the german guy stated.

Chevy can install higher quality trim there will still be dissenting comments. Subaru's WRX Mitsubishi Evo and early gen Acura had rubbish cabins. That never halted driving pleasure or the accolades!
