Thank-You so very much. This video makes rreplacing the battery so much easier than I thought compared to other cars. And now I have to replace the Alternator on the 2013 Chevy Malibu too and that is A pain in the rear because of the tork release bar to release the belt can be A pain. Once the belt is off the Alernator I just don't need i t to slip off anything else. Then it would be hard to rethread considering the very tight limited space.

Not the original batter. MFR battery spec is 650 cca AGM glass mat separator type. Having charging issues on a 2013 malibu ECO that I picked up used. Somebody put a 480 CCA battery in this car and it was grossly insufficient. Knowing what I've learned recently, I would not recommend any battery for this vehicle less than 650 CCA - not necessiarly AGM, however. Seems overkill to use AGM vs additional cost. Thanks for the video - it was very helpful in removing the battery from this vehicle.
Lenny, Where does the negative run too? I found alot of posts on that the cables are bad in the 2013 causing cars to shut off. Where does the negative terminal go? I dont own the car but want to help a friend with hers. I plan on buying new cables and replacing them for her. Thanks, great vid by the way.
Its not stalling, you have the start/stop system in yours. Wife's 2014 has the same thing. The engine actually shuts down at stop lights and long stops. Supposed to be some environmental bull***t. You don't have to turn the key, as soon as you give it gas, it goes again.
