Hi, im planning to purchase m56. I heard if m56 has rear worm gear issue. It’s very hard to fix even at Infiniti dealership. Have you seen or experienced rear worm gear problems??
I have a m56x and I was beat by a subaru sti but it was tuned really good was able to surpass my v8's 420hp, the sti was far beyond what I thought it could go. He didn't let me pass him because I couldn't it was that fast. while my v8 roars for 1st place it wasn't even close plus my m56 is stock and was able to keep up with him decent (sounds terrible v8 getting mashed by a 4 cylinder) until after 200km he was gone I felt like a Toyota yaris after that. I was very impress with the sti and I shall accept my defeat, But I'll be back for revenge this is what drives me to fully tune my m56x to the max.
If you tune and have exhaust and cold air intake that in front of the grill im sure you would beat him. If it was stock vs stock for sure you 🚬, that was unfair race lol
I owned a modified, tuned 2005 Sti. They're just really easy to tune. The tune itself was only $750, and increased boost to 22 pounds from 17. Along with Greddy intake, downpipe and full exhaust, I was able to push HP to 392, with similar TQ. I did a bit more work afterwards, but didn't get the new dyno numbers. I drive a V8 Hemi these days, but because there's no Turbo or Supercharger, much like your M56, they're just not quite as easy to tune. You can add parts for sure, but turning up the boost on a turbo is just the easiest, cheapest way to increase power, and the Sti's comes with that stock. Hard to match the simplicity of tuning an Sti with similar aftermarket budget for a V8.
