Yes, we know KTM stopped producing these machines a few years back but that doesn’t mean the demand for them stopped. As a matter a fact the 200 might be more popular now than when KTM was mass producing them, kinda similar to what some Japanese manufactures are finding out about their two-stroke machines. There are lots of industry leading companies involved on this KTM 200 build like FMF, Dunlop, Pro X, Dubya USA, Rekluse, UFO Plastics, P3 Carbon, Race Tech Suspension, ODI Handlebars, IMS Products and Enduro Engineering. IMS Core pegs are available in variety of sizes and are a huge upgrade from the OEM units. f you ride in the Arizona desert don’t be surprised if you see this machine come flying past you. Naughton doesn’t build bike to have them sit in the garage.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this project. The KTM 200 is still one of my all time favorite bikes to ride. I only wish they would bring it back in orange, white or red. One correction, those are Dubya wheels, not Tusk. Although I have had good luck with Tusk wheels in the past. And thanks for the "Legend in my own mind" comment Mark. Lol.... I do still consider myself the fastest dude in my own house....well at least since my ex-GF moved out....she had a set clankin... 😂

I have a 2012 model. Only thing missing is a electric start (2013-16). Best bike I’ve ever been on. Hit gold with this purchase, have rode tpi 150-250-300. This 200 feels better than all of those. Climbs up anything.

Fav off roader of all time. I owned 2 of these and bot were stellar in the tight, wet NW woods. Good times.

I tried to “upgrade” from my KTM 200 XCW to the 250 XC, rode the 250 for a month and sold it. Went back to the 200 and am having the time of my life. It’s a great size.

Midwest USA Trails. My favorite bike (not best, just favorite) was my 2007 KTM 200xc that I bought new. Rode it 110 hours. I wish I kept it! Was most fun! Kind of light at 118 lbs with no fuel. Zippy feeling engine. Just enough low end torque to pull my 165+20 lbs up a grunt hill. Handled okay. Rear suspension good. Forks okay. Reliable. At 110 hours original the piston + rings were ready to replace, but were still in decent shape. Great bike! My current bike is a 2017 Husqvarna TE300, and a 2017 KTM 250 2 stroke Freeride. I also had 2009 KTM 200xcw and 2010 KTM 250xcf-w. The year 2008-2010 frames had better handling than the 2007 frame, but the seat height on the 2008-2010's was too high! The KTM 200 engine vibrated a bit too much though.

There's nothing better than my old 200XC for Eastern woods. The new Beta 200RR is tempting, but it would probably cost me $15k or more to aet it up like my old trusty steed.
