2013 Lincoln MKT - Drive Time Review with Steve Hammes | TestDriveNow 

Yeah, I wanted one from day one and finally got one with 6K miles on it from a Lincoln Dealership Manager. I wanted a white one forever but when I found the one I bought, fell totally in love with the thing! It's a super dark gray with light tan two tone interior and it is TOTALLY AWESOME, INCREDIBLE! I LOVE the styling. LOVE IT!! This car is a BEAST! Totally moves out and leaves all others in complete SHOCK! R-O-A-R!!!! All wheel drive KILLS IT! It's totally "the $#it$!!! Not gonna pry it from my cold, dead hands! Now that they're killing it off, mine will be forever locked up in my garage (on rainy days) but that's to KEEP IT REAL!! Anyone who knocks it hasn't tried it. Ot this up against an F-Pace, or Cayeenne. Only thing that might make me trade would be a Volvo XC-90 but for what I paid??? I'll keep her.

Its so powerful, luxurious, and it looks beautiful inside and out It get to 60 in less then 5.8 seconds so unlike other cuv its not only looking powerful it is It dose resemble a hearse but its going to warm up to you and its also one of those that looks expensive and serious

I love this Lincoln MKT! Truly one of the best luxury crossovers on the market.

These were great vehicles, far superior to any Cadillac & foreign made luxury SUV. They are quite the bargain considering all the high tech features & high standard with quality. Maybe some felt the styling was radical, but I think it truly defined this unique luxury vehicle, unlike the other square shapes on the road. Not many around, but in 10 yrs these will be collector classics.

My mother-in-law replaced her Navigator with one of these. I thought she was crazy until I drove it. Now I'm trying to find a way to get rid of my '14 Mustang GT b/c I LOVE this car. The power delivery is incredible with the EcoBoost V-6. I honestly don't think I could row the gears in my car fast enough to keep up w/ this thing!

You aren't alone, I love the styling and uniqueness. They look great on the road. Its also one hell of a package!

The fact the MKT in Black is probably the car I see most driven as a Hearse, this is one vehicle I would always avoid.

I like it a lot too steve. It's original without being awkward or out of left-field

I was one at first that gave Ford some flack on the design of the MKT. However after seeing a couple of the local limo company's new MKT Town Cars, I can honestly say that the design has grown on me. This car looks especially nice in Tuxedo Black as shown in the video.

This would be a fine car but I can't get over those taillights/the rear-end styling.

Guys, get over the styling of these things. The people making these comments are in their 30's. These cars are NOT marketed at people in their 30's, they are aimed at the 60+ Crowd.

the front looks alright though i liked it before the refreash. the rear-end is what i have problems with...and the badge mixed with the steering wheel.

ummm yes actually it is based on the flex, which is based on the taurus, which was also the platform for the new explorer so while it is related to both it is essentially a dressed up flex

traded in a qx56 for one of these.

This is hands down the most comfortable vehicle in history for ingress, egress.

I love these and I wish more people would buy them. I certainly would if I could afford it!

So, is this the Lincoln version of the Explorer?

Sounds like I get better fuel economy on my old Town car. I get 18 on city and 28 on the highway. I also got lots of room.

I just bought a 2013 Infiniti JX35. I drove ALL of these SUV's and CUV's prior to making a decision. The Lincoln is very nice, but the top end price is WAY too high. I think my JX's max price was around $54K, but it has many more high-tech features than the Lincoln. It has all of the blind spot warning, lane departure warning, accident warning things like the MKT, but it also has INTERVENTION of these things also, which automatically applies the brakes, etc, to correct the problem. The JX rules!

This is definately the most sinister looking luxury crossover on the market. I didnt used to like it, until i test drove an Ecoboost, and damn-it blows bloated crossovers from Buick and Mercedes out of the water.

I admire you so much Steve, your definitely giving the underdog a chance, but Lincoln is slowly loosing their way with me over their design language. Their grilles are hideous.
