I'm from the UK and I have just purchased a 2012 370z GT. It's in Pearl White with extremely low mileage for the year (40k) and its absolutely stunning. I've had an Audi RS5 previously but even that does not beat this Z for looks
I m a huge fan of Z. I bought 350z roaster, drove for 6 years then bought 370z in 2010, still using it. It satisfies me in every aspect . Proud of the car and proud i m stick with it . Love your car too. Good colour.
Well you just convinced me that my next car will be a factory brand new 370Z . Hands down this car is phenomenal, in all respects., and that being said the 370Z does not receive the respect that it deserves kudos for the excellent owners long-term ownership video, you just got a new subscriber and am looking forward to your next videos on this car
I think the reason the car doesn't get much attention anymore is because it's ancient. It was a great car back in 2009, but ten years later with such minimal changes, it's overpriced and outdated. The 370Z is a fun car to drive and handles great, but all of the technology is so outdated it should be embarrassing for Nissan. The performance of the car really isn't competitive anymore either. All of the muscle cars like the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger and Charger offer much better performance, practicality, and technology for the same or less money than the Z. Or they're close enough in price that you'd see it's worth it to spend a few extra dollars on say a Mustang GT. That's why they're selling like hotcakes and the Z has been forgotten about. Even though the Mopars use an ancient platform, Dodge has done a far superior job at keeping them modern and competitive than Nissan has with the Z. Even die hard Z fans are disappointed with Nissan and how they've just thrown this car on the back burner. If I were you, I'd buy a used Z if you absolutely want one. If you're buying new though, shop elsewhere and spend your money on something that's more competitive and modern.
+Chase Landry Thanks but I actually don't have this one anymore, I have a 2014 370Z Touring with the Sport Package now that I traded this car for. It's Magnetic Black and I definitely like it better. I've got a few videos of it on my channel and I put a Borla Cat-Back exhaust on it, check it out!
The Nissan 350Z came with reflectors, I had an 07 Nissan 350Z GT and swapped out the reflectors with JDM DTRLs :) made the vehicle look way sharper! can’t wait to get my Nissan 370Z in the next month or so!
+Johnson _ Brandon 11 Haha it did sound pretty good. The stock exhaust sounds good on these once they get up in the higher rpms. Up until then, it's just alright IMO. If you think this sounds good, check out my videos on my black 2014 370Z touring that replaced this car. I put a Borla Cat-Back exhaust on it which drastically improved the sound without sounding like a ricer and the engine breathes a lot better. There's a cold start video of it and a tour video where I rev it. I don't rev it to redline like I did here but it sounds far more impressive at any rpm and I revved it to about 6500. It makes this sound so wimpy lol.
+Johnson _ Brandon 11 Thanks! If you're into sports cars, I definitely recommend checking one out. Nissan builds a great sports car for sure, they're a lot of fun.
Awesome review! I have the exact same 2013Z in silver. Rear spoiler don't matter, but I do recommend an oil cooler and a limited slip differential gear. I changed my "370Z" badge to "Fairlady Z" which is the original Z car's name in Japan. Just like you said, the clutch does have a strange feeling which getting used to. When I test drove it at the dealer, I asked if the clutch was worn out. No, it's default, so, no worry.
I agree with you on what you said towards the end about trucks and suv drivers, especially diesel truck drivers. I live in an area where there’s quite a few of them also. The way I feel about that is you’re basically in a tank trying to outmaneuver a sports car? GTFO!! I SMOKE them ALL the time in my Speed 3 and they can’t even maneuver thru traffic like I can. They start catching up and as soon as traffic comes up they stop cause they don’t know how to find openings and get through. They have no racing skills, reflex or timing whatsoever!! Yet they want to act aggressive like they own the road, but loses to someone like me in a Mazda lol! ... All bark no bite man! Racing is not just about a straight line, anyone can punch it. You truck drivers seriously need to reconsider where you have the advantage and go find a piece of dirt road somewhere to drive on. Nice Z by the way, sorry for getting a lill heated but this is the truth!
Just about to buy one. Super nervous. It's the sport + touring 7AT. I'm coming from 05 G35. Initially was going to go G37 but felt the 370 was more pure. Again super nervous but owning this car and being a great overall car.
I had a brand new 2015 370z touring sport -Tech model got rid of it in 2017 when I upgraded to the infinity Q50 3.0T sport AWD. reason why I got rid of my Z it was not good for daily driving everyday
is there any significant difference in a 2013 and a 2016? because im debating on either a used 2013 370z or a new 2016 and the price difference is about 7,000$...
+Bob Hoover Not to my knowledge, the power is unchanged but they now have a broader model line up than they used to I believe. That's a pretty appealing difference right there. We don't have this one anymore, we upgraded to a 2014 Magnetic Black Touring model with the Sport Package. I have to say I like all of the options in the touring and the spoiler and the Sport Package is totally worth having regardless of what trim you get. I have a few videos of the black one on my channel if you want to check it out. We put a Borla Cat-Back exhaust on it and it sounds really nice!
For a sports car, it's relatively comfortable. Even the sport suspension is very complient over crappy roads. The touring seats wrapped in leather and suede are much more comfortable than the standard cloth seats IMO. It's just not a very pracitcal car since storage space is limited and they're terrible in the snow. Other than that if you want to have a fun car that will put a smile on your face whenever you drive it, the Z is a tough car to beat for the price. If you're looking for something more comfortable, a muscle car might be more appropriate.
Check the cooling system and see that it's been updated with a new transmission cooler as well as better airflow the transmission coolers are effective on free 2012 models and that being said I've even heard of cars overheating from 2009 to 2012
GREATNESS Like I said in the video, I leased this car for only $250 per month. The MSRP was $29k and change but we traded in the PT Cruiser on this and they gave us $3k for that car so the cost was reduced to $26k. Read the description box though because I don't have this car anymore, I traded it for a black 2014 370Z Touring model with the Sport Package which I like much better. That one is quite a bit more expensive with an MSRP of $41k but it's worth it. I just put a Borla exhaust on it a month ago and there's a cold start video of it on the channel. Be sure to check it out! I'll have a tour video of it soon.
+mhtube01 Yo i gave a 2k down payment and my monthly pay is 440$ with gap insurance how is yours $250 a month? Im using my mom as a co signer she has 700+ credit. The car is 23k, 2013 z base!
+ludwig lemus Well I don't have this car anymore, but it was leased so that's why the payment was so low. But we got some special rebates on it as well which brought it down even more and we had a trade in vehicle. Buying a car is a totally different story. You're automatically going to be paying more.
I have a base 2016 Nissan 370z with under 24 hundred miles as of right now 8/24/2021 was gonna spend 10 thousand dollars to upgrade with over market mods instead gonna trade my 2016 Nissan 370z next year for the new generation Nissan Z 👍as of right now still enjoy driving my 370z and highly recommend a affordable sport car to anyone who looking to purchase one ☝️👍that my Nissan 370z picture on my RU-vid profile aight aka 👑KingRichee ✌🏽👉🏽ps the only thing I give this vehicle a 👎🏽 is the blind spots but you can take care of that with mini covert mirrors that you can buy at any auto store problem solved 👍
In general, yes but they've since expanded the model lineup a bit. You can opt for the Sport Package on the base model which I would definitely recommend.
In the Uk the 370Z base has rev match control, boot spoiler, limited slip differential, aluminium pedals (all 3) and upgraded brakes/calipers and some other goodies at standard. £25,000 new
Test drive both and then decide! The Z is a much faster car but the FR-S is more affordable. Depends really what you're looking for. I haven't driven an FR-S but people really like them. I will say the Z is a great car as an owner and never fails to put a smile on my face.
+mhtube01 yes that's what I'm going to the only reason why I'm debating is because I have a big family like my mother and my brother and sister but Ughhhh lol ..... I really want the z but keep thinking of space.
+jessy love Yeah the one thing about the Z is it's a two seater car. Honestly though the back seat in the FR-S is useless in terms of fitting people, aside from maybe little kids. You can throw luggage back there though in addition to the trunk. I've crammed quite a bit of stuff in my Z actually, it's surprised me with how much will fit in it. Btw, I don't have this one anymore, I have a Magnetic Black 2014 Touring model with the Sport Package that I traded this in on. I like the Touring much better, the interior is a lot nicer and the seats are way more comfortable. The sport package is awesome too and I put a Borla Cat-Back exhaust on it so it sounds great. I have some recent videos of it on my channel so feel free to check it out!
