For some of the categories, the panel is giving their personal, professional opinion on who will win, and for others they state that the voters will go a certain way and they agree with them. While I heard wonderful things about Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I was very surprised it won so many awards after it had closed, but clearly the voters overlooked that and gave it to those who truly deserved the honors. Great awards season.
You guys were wrong on a few like Best Musical and Leading Actress Musical BUT I LOVE THAT YOU GUYS RECOGNIZED THAT DROOD WAS THE BEST LIKE PIPPIN ONLY WON BECAUSE OF ACROBATICS
Everybody who does Pippin equates "magic" with "circus." Which, no. But this revival in particular had that skeevy Cirque du Soleil vibe that I absolutely hate.
