I just finished putting in a JVC KW-V940BW head unit, a iDatalink Maestro ADS MMR and a Natika WD-011 backup camera into my son’s 2009 Corolla. Works great. The camera is 0.01 lux similar to the smaller profile Voxx ACA501 Universal camera. All equipment from Crutchfield, except the camera which was from Amazon.
Installed this last week on my 2013 corolla. Took me all day because the temperature here was freezing. Worked great except the picture was upside down. I cut the small loop white wire and that turned the picture right side up. and a great picture it produces.
Hey great video. I just want to ask is that the stock video player on there? I have a 2013 LE corolla but don't have dvd/navigation, but the stock Bluetooth audio touchscreen player. Can it still be used for back up camera or do I need to get a different monitor. Thanks
leshenko Yes, because the model they’re demonstrating with isn’t the upgraded Entune system. It should be identical to yours. Sorry you had to wait 6 years for an answer 😂.
Hola, yo seguí las instrucciones visuales para instalar la cámara en mi Toyota Corolla 2013, desarme el tablero y al llegar al radio y comparar con el video a mi me llego adelante solo la punta del RCA amarillo con un pedacito de cable rojo que de él sale, ahora allí no hay receptor hembra RCA, cómo concluyó la instalación?

@5:26 where did u buy the t harness? Becuase my car does not have the rca yellow plug. If your going to make a video at least put it on the description. I have a corolla 2013 s and it does not have the T harness with the yellow rca where i can plug in.
When I had one I bypassed my HU so that I could look at the camera full time. I'm so used to turning my head I find the back-up fuction pointless unless you're using it for security, then you would install it elsewhere.
Oliver i need your help i have been trying to install the camera but the radio doesnt show imagen if i try in a monitor the signal is ok i have a corolla 2013 im using a cable cam-T11
***** So I found the answer. To install any type of camera system in a non camera equipped car, you need a module that adaps the the cars oem connectors. Withthis adaptor is a reverse switch which can be connected to any reverse light as a remote to switch to the camera. Some headunits that allow backup camera capability also have the wire for reverse switch. Hope that helps.
Du K Most of these cameras are connected to the same wire that powers the back-up lights. When you throw the transmission into reverse, it sends power to these lights and to the backup camera. When you place the transmission into drive, the camera also turns off with the backup lights.
