The best thing about TTY is that she had never been afraid to venture out or experiment her shots and deceptions even at the critcal stages of her games. She was willingbto wait while she perfected her skills and deceptions. That certainly worked out for her years later. One thing that is obvious when I first watched TTZ very first match was her strony and controlled bachkand and the way she played is almost like men's single style of play. I was right in saying that she was going to be great during her very first match.
I think Tai faked that she was exhausted making her opponent to rwlax a bit and the she strike with unexpected accurate shots. Gillian was right when she said that Tai would one day be more consistent. She was unafraid to experiment out her ideas and shots. This was the foundation of Tai that we see many years later; precise, almost perfect, flawless, deceptive and entertaining.
