It is good in a way "Mim Yaj" is embracing the Western(USA)/SEAsia Hmong, and helping to integrate us with our Miao brethren through her music/performances. But it is also sad (even bad, not gonna elaborate on this) in a ways because the majority of the Miao (Hmong-Chinese) cannot comprehend our language etc.. Some of you may "disagree" but language -- specifically the ability to communicate comprehensively -- is the foundation of all and any social, economical, and political continuity/unity.
They can't comprehend hmoob dawb because most the hmoob in china speak hmoob leeg. If we go there, we will have a hard time understanding them. Majority of hmoob in china are hmoob leeg. Hmoob dawb is the minority there as to hmoob ntsuab is the minority in America.

Yes. This isn't one of her song. Lots of Hmong-Chinese do covers to promote themselves. The popular song cover is "Kheev Lam Koj Yog Ib Rev Paj" by Mim Haam. What I can say is that she are promoting these Hmong-American/Thai/Laos songs to the Hmong-Chinese audiences. :) Yes. I believe she is lip-singing for sure.

Yes, you're right. Mim Haam wasn't the original singer, but her version was the popular one. I've heard a version a lot older... more like vintage version I guess... and I can say that's the most original version. Mim Haam's version was an upgraded version.
