Goran Dragic almost didn't play Friday night. On a bad ankle, with his Phoenix team needing to end a three-game skid, he decided to give it a try. The result was a career-high 40-point performance in 42 minutes, leading the Suns past the New Orleans Pelicans 116-104. "I think everybody knows about Goran Dragic now," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said, "or they should." A game-time decision because of a sore right ankle that had kept him out of Wednesday's loss at Utah, Dragic played all but the last 10 seconds of the second half in the first 40-point game for a Phoenix player since Amar'e Stoudemire's 44 on March 19, 2010.

I just pray to God that Dragic makes it next season. Usually players who have great years and miss (Curry) make it the following year. Dragic is my favorite player in the NBA. Suns all day!

Dragic is gone. My Suns are a far different team, but at least we got Barbosa and Dudley back to guide the youth. I'm still thankful for all Dragic has done for Phoenix.

There was a point in Dragic's second year where Nash got injured and he had to start for a series of games. He struggled really badly. I can remember a game against Orlando, had trouble running the offense, turned the ball over badly, couldn't knock down shots. I think that was the period that made The Suns question his future with the club. What an incredible turnaround. Hard work and perseverance has paid off for him, huge respect.

I decided to look at your profile to see what you were all about and much to my surprise, you have The Dragon on it. He's from my country! Mother Slovenian and father Serbian. You can tell he takes after his father and is of the Eastern Orthodox faith: in the video, he crosses himself and his hand goes to his right shoulder first and then to his left one... All other Christians go to their left shoulder then the right one. If you like him, you should become aware of his 'Yugoslav' predecessors and watch the video "Once Brothers".... Fascinating! One is from Serbia, like Goran's father and the other is from the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. It's a documentary.... not a flick.

You Americans don't give white players one chance, that's why you don't have players like Bird, Havlicek, McHale, Barry etc. anymore. You have a lot of money in sports, but you invest it in 12% of the population only, that's why Europeans players are now better than yours.
