Check the thermostat housing assembly first. My 2018 colorado zr2 is running the fan afterwards for five minutes or so. Im not taking the risk and replacing thermostat housing with O-ring and temp sensor. AC delco parts always check Amazon hella cheap! My local advance auto parts, o’reíllys and auto zone failed me could not get the parts. And Chevy dealership over price parts to expensive.

How do you release the clip to pull the wires off of the sensor?

There should be a white small tab you have to pull up with a long angled pick then you can try long needle nose pliers to gently grab the connector and it should pull off

Would my temperature gauge be stuck at 160 be related to it or would it be my thermostat sticking

If it’s not overheating I would lean more toward the temp Sensor if it’s being stuck to 160

It’s likely due to your thermostat being stuck open

I just did this job on mine. I don't see how that would even work. The sensor is at an angle and is so close to the engine that there was no way to get a socket extension in there.

Maybe I can do a new video showing in depth of how I did it.
