Do you happen to know the size of the bolts for the center console? Mine didn’t have one so I bought a console that had no bolts. Chevy dealer gave me the wrong size

Yes! Most gm seats are installed this way. It is identical on my Camaro

Great video... My center console usb ports stop working and fuse is fine, theres power but for some reason doesn’t get to ports... Any suggestions???

It's possible the connection inside the USB port went bad

I'm not positive but I am pretty sure the 9v chargers get power from the same source. If that still has power it would point to the connection in the USB port. Being faulty. Have you tried plugging a different USB into the port to see if it could be your device?

The Sundae Drive the 9v is working I’m sure that is the usb itself, trying to find out how to get to it and check, will have to find a new one to get back to normal... thank you sooo much for your reply!!!!

I think the seats need to be removed. It may be possible to do it without that but it will be a lot more challenging. As far as feeding up a wire, I am not sure as I have not taken radio out

I have the same truck and my passenger seat has a pretty bas rattle in it on bumpy streets and roads. But if i push against it towards the door with a little bit of force it goes away....any thoughts on what that might be? I’ve been on other forums and I’ve read people had broken seat frames that needed to rewelded. I’ve also read about putting shims under the rails to apply pressure up. And yes, the dealer was basically no help (i left the truck there two days and they couldn’t replicate the sound).

I wish I had an idea. Sorry I'm not sure, obviously something is loose. I do know this isn't an uncommon issue but thankfully it has not happened to me yet. Knock on wood lol

I have a lot of play at the front mounting point on the drivers side... Any idea how to fix this? It’s the source of my seat noise... Another clunk when lowering the seat frame all the way. Looks like the seat pan hits the adjuster on the way down. Anyone familiar with this?

Your video left out a significant part which is how to remove the driver's side seat controls to enable removal of the plastic cover below the driver's side seat where the seat belt is fastened.

TheSundaeDrive i got an LS, the console is a giant hole. i wanna swap it to the console from the 08 LT, its a direct bolt up and has top and bottom storage, like yours, they run about $500 tho. i can get a jump seat like yours for around 300 and i like it much better. i know its not a DIRECT bolt up but from what i have researched its possible

Brian R ahh I see that is pretty cool! looks like it is definitely doable. I prefer having the option of fitting a sixth person in a pinch which is why I went with it. more practical in the long run.

about how much do you estimate the drivers seat weighed? The guy at the dmv said i could save a few dollers af I can drop 100 lbs or more. I already did the basic things like removing the rear tire/seats.

Ramon Ortega How would you save a few $$ by dropping weight? If you have a power seat it will be heavier because of the motors. With the motors, the seat probably weighs between 50 and 60 lbs

I live in California and drive a Silverado 1500 ltz crew cab I purchased out of state. For pickup trucks entering California 5000lbs unladen weight and under is about an 80 doller a year fee. 5001lbs and over gets charged about 160 doller a year. Weight can only be reported once and then my yearly registration fee is locked in forever. I had the truck weighed with a quarter tank of gas and with the back seat, tailgate, and spare tire removed, but I still came in at 5140lbs. I think I have a chance at making 5000lbs if additionally remove the passenger seat, the trailer hitch, and burn of 5 gallons of gad haha.

Ramon Ortega WOW. California sucks lol. With the LTZ you also have leather seats so that makes them even heavier. Probably looking at 80lbs per seat. Also, it isn't that difficult to remove the center console and with how large yours is that will probably save you 50 additional pounds.

So with doing this could I replace the 60/40 seats with the 40/40 or the bucket seats with the big center console whatever you would like to call it

Yes - we plan to make a video on this soon. If you are in the northeast and are looking to do the upgrade we are looking for a sponsor. Basically, we'll make the video and then sell you all the necessary parts. I prefer the bench seat so I don't want to keep the upgraded console in my truck.

Just bought a 2017 sierra with no flow through console... minor but I'm regretting it. Do you think I'd be able to swap the middle seat for a flow through console? Looks pretty simple just not sure if its actually possible

Karsten Weening I do think it's possible I'll find a link to a forum post that give some information on it. the biggest hassle would be rewiring the connections for the center console. I'm thinking about doing this upgrade on my truck just to show everyone how to do it. and then I would sell the upgrade Parts as a kit

TheSundaeDrive I didn't know you could get heated cloth without them being bucket seats with full console and full power. I'm fixing a flood truck that had electric seats and the tracks are ruined I may go with a manual passenger side to save $$$. Is yours a 2015?

Um no 99-06 gen 1, 07-13 gen 2, and 14-18 gen 3. GM is counting mid gen refreshes as a new generation. This is actually done for tax purposes believe it or not. But there are only three true generations of Silverados. It's the same with my Camaro, they count 10-13 as one gen and 14-15 as a second. 10-15 are all 5th gens.
