You don't need to hit the rotor. You have a thread 8 mm . Just put screw 8mm and it will push rotor out. Also I would put some anti seize paste on the hub before putting rotor on

When I go to the amazon link it says its not a fit for my mazda 6 2020 - I have the same engine should I just ignore and proceed?

Should u open the brake fluid cap so when u compress the caliper it lets u relive the pressure?
