5:44 "hand tight" can mean anything especially if the ratchet is long. I torque my drain bolt to 29 lbf.ft. as per specification. And always use a new drain plug washer. Some people re-use them several times. They are aluminum and work harden and as a result they leak requiring more torque and a stripped oil pan. And a FRAM oil filter...only if I was ultra desperate and nothing else was available.
I had my 2013 RDX oil change W/Filter. I gave the dealer 4 1/2 qts 0/20 Mobil1 w/a knew filter. When I got home and after an hour I ck oil only to find on the dip stick that the oil was way above the line where it shouldn’t be. Like stated above I gave dealer 4 1/2 qts of knew oil.Now I have to go back to dealer to empty out the extra 1/2 Qt that was put in , and like stated above I only gave them 4 1/2 quarts. One must ALWAYS ck what service was done just to be sure that it was done right.
I just fill it to the MAX line on the dipstick while the car is on level ground. As I am halfway up to that mark, I add a bit and let it drain into the crankcase and wait, and then check the level, repeating as necessary till I am at the MAX line.
