Stunning looking car still to this day. The sound is incredible and one of the reasons I bought a 2009 model. A future classic. What's with the warning lights on your dash?
I own one of these. The warning light is the very common and annoying problem with the emission sensor needing replacement. I was told there are 8 of them, and each one would take turn to go off. So u have to replace them one by one. But u can still drive the car around without problem.
how has yours held up? im shopping around for one right now and im considering the automatic cause it seems kinda quirky in a fun way versus another manual in the fleet
@@paulvo7955 had mine 4 years, serviced annually and never had a problem. I'm the assistant rep for the Aston Martin owners club in area 1 and never heard of the emissions warning as mentioned by others. My car has been totally trouble free. Just get it checked out with pre purchase inspection as there are some high price items that less honest owners my want to ignore, passing the cost onto you.
I like the new look Vantage (esp. the rear) but this one is a looker in its own right. Did someone buy this for $75K from your buddy back then? If they did they got a damn good deal. Here in Canada I've seen 2014 roadster's listed for as high as $120K currently ($95K USD). Manual gearbox is the only way to go, I agree 100% with you on that. Thanks for the vid.
Have not driven a Vantage, but am considering buying one. From what I have read from a number of sports gift owners lifting off the gas is essentially the only way to get “smooth” shifts. So yes.
@@barbariouseagle3204 If you want the most rapid shift possible you keep your foot down while shifting. If you want the smoothest shift you lift slightly (Aston says to "curl your toes". But if you want to maximize your clutch life and save $8k, you lift off completely, like a full manual gearbox.
