It's my car and I absolutely LOVE it! But to be fair, Jubbal is right, it's perfect for this 59 year old mom/grandmother who likes a bit of power and fun in a classy ride! Thanks for the review and while it may not be a hot M3 sport ride, you seemed to enjoy it pretty well. And yeah, that amazing sound that makes my heart happy and makes many a dude wish they had that!! 😅 🥰
I freaking love bmws but damn they are so expensive to maintain and that's not an accident. Had the 535i xdrive and handled amazing and 300hp was plenty for my driving habits. I will own the m5 one day. I know I will. Much love to all you other gearheads and be safe out there and prosper 👍
The F10 M5 has hydraulic power steering so you do get more steering feedback, vs the f8x which are electronic. I put over 30k miles on a 2015 M4 and now own a 2015 M5 Comp, to me the M5 is by far the better daily and long road trip car, the comfort/technology is peak, the handling is extremely balanced when you push the car, it does take more work to control it with its weight and power being so much more than an M4, and the exotic v8 sound with the turbos is alien and beautiful in its own way. The transmission is probably one of the best dct’s ever made with silky smooth shifts in comfort mode, and lightning quick when in attack mode. The subtle and classy exterior design but muscular, like John Wick in car form basically. Possibly the most slept on 4 door sedan ever made.
With the advent of EV’s there are an abundant amount of choices that are powerful and with four doors. We are lucky in that regard with so many choices that hit that market segment. But what is becoming more and more of an endangered species are the cars that provide a lot of feedback, very sharp and predictable in their response to inputs and providing emotion. None of the aforementioned things require a car to be powerful. This isn’t a car that is bad by any means, it’s just not one I’d personally want to own.
You’d think bmw would get their rod bearing issue worked out since they had them from 04’ with the e60 up to 13’ with thr e9x m3s they’ve had plenty of fucking time to get it sorted out. I want an f10 but now that I know it’s got rod bearing issues I’m gonna pass. I own an e90 m3 currently and I’m not spending that kinda money AGAIN to replace them
