They did a great job - people always ask what I did to it..."stock" is all I say and they are like --- "no way". The sound really is the best..and inside it is just loud enough!

How do you like the recaro seats? Have you had it out to the track yet? I agree Phiriya Tingthanathikul the sound of the exhaust --- pipe it someplace all day long!

Better ever, now I cann't go back to my E90 BMW. It just few odd. ( Got into var accident and had to use ZL1 for 2 weeks) No time to go to track yet, but I will soon. I am actually at the Drift race. I am thinking of geting Vette Zo6 as well.

Sonny Cool With the traction control off - you get more than a chirp! I really enjoy all the computer work going on inside - just keeping pace with the speed is a challenge.

You asked a good question about the interior. - Radio/sound system is poor compared to the Bose in my same year suburban. Everyone does brag about the feel of the shift and the steering wheel - I will agree - the microfiber is nice compared to others I have driven. Once sitting in the interior - really very basic - seats adjust to what you need - yet the seat belt never feels proper coming over the shoulder. Dash is basic - Plug in for my Iphone6 is a 'hidden" USB port - could have been nice to have that right in the front. Small cup holders. Yet the thrill of the car - every moment - the sound - how it responds - driving it over a year and still sometimes can't believe that there is more acceleration under the peddle when you give it 'just a little more' - I have taken it on some longer trips - and the hours on the track are adding up. This car is amazing - but I do not think anything about the interior will rank it better than the SRT or GT - - then again....even if the Shift of this ZL1 was a piece of rusted metal - I would still enjoy it for the raw performance it provides! Thanks about my Dad - (I am what I am today because both my parents gave me support without judgement) -

In many ways the sound of the car seems to be unique - and you will either love it or wish it sounded different. This is just the stock sound and I can hear a ZL1 starting and its unique.

The sound of this car - particularly the "burble & crackle" - is one of its best assets.

This is my first track ready car - I defiantly have learned about 'life on the track'. Last month I was at the NJ Motorsports and went out as HPDE class 2. I totally agree that this video when I made it (all strait lines) - I had no idea what this car can really do. I think over the next decade as I both learn the tracks for HPDE events and learn more skill as a 'race car driver' - I will improve. The ZL1 is a beast - and on a familiar road - the girl in the passenger seat gets wet. Rookie - yes..we agree I am - but some of you guys have been racing for decades - I had my head in the books.

You will pull 3.9 Zero-60 all day long. 112 octane from the track the ZL1 will perform even better. I think a lot of the speed skill is in the proper timing of the shifts - the "no shift lift" makes it easy as you keep your foot on the accelerator the entire time. Only think for you to do is watch heads up display for your RPM - be sure to hit the shift properly. On the street - your 3.9 or a missed shift and a 4.1 are still thrilling. *****

well- before i purchased it - i was watching many videos - they were all simply "start it up and listen to the engine". I did this video so some can get an idea of what the car is like to really run.

Nothing special on the break in - this is it.

the 2010 ss had it to where during the 3000 miles, you couldn't exceed 4k rpm.

They did have information listed in the manual - but i did not follow the plan - I think on the way home i broke 9 of the 10 things they didnt want you do to - so figured...ehh. (but launch mode is so much fun!) I did wait till 4k miles to have it on the race track. I think the track day would have been too much early on---really pushed the car very hard for that day!

Drajo Silver but just some future advice, if you own this car for an extended period of time, missing that break in instruction, WILL come back to haunt you....like i said, just future advice.

Never been one for the rules - but in the end - you are right..could be problems for the car later on. For now...don't buy this one used from me. LOL

George ZL1 Camaro if only 11k miles, you still should have the factory warranty. (not saying you should, but if it was me...id go out and finish the clutch off for good, have it tow'd - if your dealer does not notice the same problem. I believe our power train is covered - clutch is part of that.

Drajo Silver Good to hear! I'd never trade in my 5th gen ZL1 for the 6th personally though. Amazing stats but I hate the look personally lol.

we fit 2 mountain bikes and all our gear in this ZL1, so i hope the 2017 lets us do the same!

Drajo Silver It actually has more width and height over the previous gen so the trunk should be the same size if not a little bigger.

I think the no-lift-shift was working well - I did miss one shift and when the engine went into redline - it auto throttled down.- but usually sees to get a 4.2 or so zero to sixty. I will take it out to test and tune this spring and post the times.

The electronics when you set it into "track mode" take care of all of that. The engine and clutch are working together faster than we would has humans move our feet. You can no shift lift all day long....the components are electronic and the power train and engine are designed to do that work for you. Just be in a strait line - your moving a lot of horsepower!

George ZL1 Camaro one day I had some clutch smoke after doing a series of "no lift shift' - but as it was 10k miles ago, i believe it was just from the heat.

Just never take your foot off the gas - the comp and car figure out the rest.

Many people have the same thought as you - I think its "what one gets used to first" then when it changes - the mind never sees it the 'right' way!

Drajo Silver that's a very good thought and it could be true. But to me the rear bumper still looks very cheap, I'm not sure what its made out of but it looks like brittle plastic, I'm sure its made out of a reliable material but the aesthetics aren't the best to me. Rudy F I have some other video with the camera on the dash (a HPDE event at watking glen, NY). The location of the camera was only to get some 'different' views of the car - and see how the Doppler effect of the sound hits the ears.

I guess this was just an acceleration shoot...because this car really excels on a road course no?...

I see a few people post they don't like the new look - I assure you -- wasn't my idea!
