I have a 2011 malibu and there are no screws that hold on the trim. When I look under seat I can see that there is a metal u-shaped clip holding it on. I have tried pulling on it but I'm afraid it's going to break. Is there a trick to these clips?

My seat is stuck recline but the forward and back and also lumbar support all work . Not the fuses and I don’t see and exposed wires under the seat . Does this still apply ?

I don’t why Chevy hasn’t had a recall. This seems to be an ongoing issue. Mine did the same thing. Took it to the dealership and they quoted me close to $500 to fix. I ordered the switch and used my points. Brought the price down to $49. Hopefully I can fix it myself 🤞🏽

What if the only direction it wont go is up? It moves forward and back it leans back but wont lean back up so ots vertical.

I'm having same issue in gf 14 Terrain. All switches work, I reclined it slightly when I drive it won't go back up. Did it work for you by replacing the switch panel?

Seat motor is on the seat bottom. Easier to get to if you take out the seat. But try replacing the switch first.

No. All-purpose cleaners tend to be part water. You want zero water on electronics.

Compressed air, contains some water. You want zero water on electrical parts.

Can this happen and some buttons work ? My buttons all work except incline … my driver side is now stuck is the reclined position

The way I understand it is was stuck just in the fully reclined position. And he just couldn't get it to come back up so that would be just one switch failing. But you can't replace just the one switch you have to replace the whole mechanism..

Correct. All the switches are on that one piece. You can try the electronics cleaner first, and if that doesn't work, then order the switch unit.
