I am a NDSU graduate and just wanted to say thanks for the kind words, your team is fantastic and I also look forward very much to the rematch. Glad to see fans like you who appreciate the game and don't take to insults or something nasty. Respect!
What a game, all these years later i come back to 2:04:36 to and have it on repeat, and then dont watch the rest of it. But hey, hell of a game, and my favorite i have ever been to even though ISU lost.
A great football game it was! Congrats to the NDSU Bison on a four peat and congrats to Illinois State for a good season! Also hats off to Illinois State fans for being really respectful and classy! I loved that we got to played you team! Good luck next season and I look forward to playing you again someday!
Two thoroughly excellent teams, and the result could have easily gone either way. Congratulations to both the Redbirds and the Bison. Looking over the NDSU schedule, and I see that there's no MVC matchup next year either--how is that possible?!
***** I'm also not sure why they didn't schedule a game against an FBS opponent. People in Fargo are always saying that "we should be in the FBS". The Bison are 4 time defending FCS champions, I feel like they should've scheduled at least one or two games against quality FBS teams...
As of now, NDSU has won 5 in a row, and many fans in the area think that they are dv1 ready, as demonstrated in signs in the playoffs like "bring on bama "and such being stuck in the band wagon. My own family has, and I have also. The truth is, from a strictly football perspective, it makes sense now, but you also gotta think about competition. They have more championships than losses in the last five years. Don't get me wrong, that takes talent, but also there is not that much talent in their division. Another point to consider is that they got lucky with a good recruiting class. But they are missing something that big schools have: constant recruiting. Schools like Alabama and LSU have kids dreaming nationwide to go to those school. NDSU has SD ND and MN kids saying that. Bison fans think that the Bison are untouchable, and if they went division 1, they would be in for a rude awakening.
At 2:18:03 how is that not a penalty on Illinois State when one player is jumping on the back of another of their players to block the field goal? Another cheap shot by a classless ISU red team
