Funny watching this in 2024... how Ketucky has been slowly getting better and better and how Florida has been up and down since then... now Kentucky has a 3 win streak over the Gators
*Kentucky doesn't know how to Win against the GATORS... They Choke & there's many Games since 1986 the Wildcats should've/could've Won. 31 Straight Wins, Go GATORS & Coach Dan Mullen :)*
*1 Out of 32 Years... About Time !!! (Congrats to Kentucky that Tossed the Gators around Like LIL Boys) It's Going to be another Bad Year for the GATORS, Rebuilding & New Coaches Take Some Time :(*
This was the first game I at the swamp. and probably the best. the sound of the crowd when Driskel threw the touchdown and when Jones scored the game winning touchdown. i never heard something that loud in my life.
tvol131 But Kentucky is definatly not the 1-14 team they used to be. They have GREATLY improved. Serious team watch. They are not Kentucky this year...
This Florida team had the worst wide receiver room in recent UF history. So many dropped passes plagued this offense and I’m sure it messed Driskel up too making him have to try too hard to aim the ball and thus throwing interceptions quite a bit. Their route running was so poor and the only playmaker was Demarcus Robinson. Tight ends were atrocious. If Tevin Westbrook catches the wide open pass in the end zone against lsu we win the game.
let's not forget Westbrook also drop-tipped the ball in the FSU game that was pick-sixed this same year in a very winnable game. I completely agree. What people forget about Driskel is the number of good balls he threw that were dropped. Yeah, he had some low moments but when you don't help your QB out you're prone to pressure.
@@harrisonwood5705 looking back on it UF should have been a 9 win team at least in 2014. You are exactly right about the FSU game. UF had all of the momentum. Went up 9-0 and was in the red zone when Westbrook tip-dropped the pass up in the air for the pick six. Idaho would’ve been a win if it wasn’t canceled. LSU, South Carolina, and FSU for sure. Mizzou and Bama are the only teams that straight up beat UF. If Florida had even average pass catchers then we would’ve won the games that I mentioned. So many drives stalled out because wide receivers were dropping wide open passes. I felt so bad for Driskel because he didn’t play that bad but got all of the blame.
@@TheGatorGr8 Yep exactly. And even versus Missouri they never moved the ball on us. They scored in every defensive / special teams manner possible. And then there's the South Carolina game that we literally imploded in. The 2014 squad had a ton of potential which made them that much more aggravating to watch.
@@harrisonwood5705 Mizzou was an absolute failure and you’re right. The defense played very well. The offense and special teams imploded as that was one of the most embarrassing losses I’ve seen. the South Carolina game was maddening. I had 100% confidence that we had that game won in the 4th. Then the blocked FG. Then the blocked Punt. Absolutely atrocious.
If Tiller picks that ball off (led to Florida TD but he dropped it) and UK comes away with points off that I think they pull out this game. Arguably the most game changing play imo
Matt McGuire Game changing plays would be Florida's secondary completely going AWOL and forgetting that freshman WR who was wide freaking open for two TD's. UK caught Florida when they still had youth at safety.
From what I understand, In order for it to be a snap it has to leave the centers hands, He was in the motion of snapping the ball but it wasn't out of his hands, which would be a delay of game.
+The Guaptologist lol our basketball program is head and shoulders above the Florida football program the only thing bigger about Florida football is the stadium y'all don't get anywhere near the national attention that Kentucky basketball gets lol and our basketball program has more rings than your football and basketball program combined don't make excuses just calling a spade a spade
First of all, delay of game is not a loss of down penalty. Had the penalty been called, it would have been 4th and 12. Secondly, the SEC reviewed the incident and found that the call was correct. (www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/09/sec_upholds_no-call_on_controv.html)
Listen, Kentucky fans. Im not a UF or a Wildcat fan. Look the clock did not expire. They got it off right as the clock hits 0, and the rule is that you have just a slither of time before it is delay of game. Don't be whining about this in the replies. After all you still did end the streak in 2018!
