It's not 29,500 pounds. And I wouldn't doubt the transmission went out on the automatic version. The 5 speed manual transmission version does not have that problem. I'm at 175,179 miles with no major issues to speak of.

@@336_longhaulalex8 If it has the "PowerShift" automatic transmission, then avoid it. Google search "Ford PowerShift transmission" and you will find much information regarding its associated problems in the Focus. That's a shame, because the Focus is otherwise a great car.
@@336_longhaulalex8 The Impreza is a great choice. Do periodically check the oil level (as one should for any car), and fill as needed. Some Impreza owners have reported excessive oil consumption in the model year 2011-2016 Subaru 2.0 engine.
I have a 2016 and it has very good handling, and good smooth acceleration; It's Quick! I find the Stereo just fine. you can adjust the Bass, balance, and Trebile also.
You drive it amazingly safe then. Cars last as long as we take care of them and drive accordingly. It amazes me how people drive focus’s like sport cars and burn out the transmission fast.
