Your gaming system is amazing! Thanks for sharing. You can get a larger analog CRT screen. People are replacing perfectly working large-screen or projector TV's with modern Flat screens. You can often have them for FREE by offering to Scrap them. Put an add in Craig's List to do this. You won't have to do it for long, before you've got a CRT-equivalent huge floor model.
The reason why the S-video on the 32x doesn't look as colorful and sharp is because there is a lot of interference between the fuses and the capacitors. You need to build a small board with an amplifier and a couple of resistors to get a much cleaner signal.
Also I don't know what made you choose streets of rage 2 music but I am glad you did because that game is the very first video game I ever played and it's what made my lifestyle the way it is today.
Easily the best system set up I've ever seen. The only thing that would make it better is if you could hide the wires somehow. And a Nuon? Wow. But wouldn't the Dreamcast be better on the HDTV? DC has an HD out via DVI.
After what you said about the Studio II, it's a good thing then that your don't also have an original Odyssey hooked up in there as well. It too requires the proprietary RF box because of its unusual video connector (which it shares with the Wonder Wizard pong console, which was literally built from an Odyssey, using the same circuit board and part of the shell). And if your think your Nuon is big, try a LaserActive!
You remind me of the old days on youtube, you are a great retro gamer. It is so hard to find good channels like yours nowadays, will you make a portable systems collection video one day?????
i'm a big fan and might i say you have one of the most impressive collections. I'm trying to build by own but obviously it isn't as good as yours. Keep up the great vids
Where did you get the power racks? Love the video by the way. Can't wait until part 3. In part 3 are you going to talk about how each of the systems are connected, component, composite, etc?
Here' the plan. Part 3: finish naming the systems and shelving; Part 4: electrical wiring (including the racks); Part 5: signal wiring (including how it's all connected); Part 6: more signal wiring; Part 7: controllers/extensions/splitters; Part 8: recording footage
The office chair with the armrests is specifically designed to be comfortable for hours. I've never had an issue with it. It swivels too, which is good since the systems are on two walls. I haven't ruled anything out though.
The new TV did. It doesn't have s-video or RGB inputs, but I think I'd be able to use the component-in if I get a converter. At this point though I consider the setup done and don't want to add anything else.
GamingTheSystems Does the HDTV have DVI or VGA because while there isn't a Component out for Dreamcast there is an official VGA cable that actually has a higher quality output than the original Xbox or PS2 over Component. I'm a huge proponent of CRTs for older games but I run my Dreamcast on a modern display because it's built for it. I would think you could swap it with your master system without too much fuss.
For someone looking for most of these on a budget, get these systems: PS4 $400 PS3 $200 PS2 $50 Xbox 360 $200 Xbox one $400 Atari 2600 $50 Wii u $300 Gamecube $20 n64 $50 RetroN 5 $140 Dreamcast $50 PSTV $100 New 3ds ll $200 Gaming PC $700 Cheapest way to get them all.
ok thank you I finally took out the crt and moved those two on to the LCD. I have the snes and older ones still set for the crt. thanks for the answer also do i set the ps2 to 16 9?
GamingTheSystems what do you do if there are new systems coming out like the Nintendo Switch? Also, is there a way to connect the Genisis, CD, and 32X to the tv?
GamingTheSystems Thanks dude I was wondering... How did you do when you had 25 consoles and you were adding more, I mean about the Rack mounts? I´m trying to find yours and I can´t, I can only find the newer ones and having a setup with different models seems odd. Isn´t?
But with your Genesis, SCD and 32x split up like that, you can't play the six 32x CD games! They all suck, so you'll probably be fine, now that I think of it. lol
Bra I never seen nothing like this trust me if was not a college student and I had my own house because I live in a apartment that I share with my mom and little brother trust me I would have a room set up just this be of course I have to increase my income make some cut backs and investments.
