Two vehicles with two totally different engines, two different body types aimed at two different markets. Just about as perfect Mashup as you can get. Thanks.
My buick 2013 regal turbo Definitely gets off the start better and I've tested 0-60 hahaha nowhere near 8 seconds .. I hear tires and sometimes I spin... idk if 2014 model is different or it's the driver?
@@husseinhussein5565 he never turned the traction control off for 5 seconds which is gs mode in the turbo so he could shave off 2 seconds realistically and he didn’t even build boost 😂
Buick needs to Install a Turbo v6 in the car, with the AWD the regal would be a great car! Since the SS is coming out it would be nice to see a rear wheel drive hopped up Turbo v6 car, maybe a Grand Sport or GN ???
Buicks have outstanding quality. And the slight shudder may just be the AWD or traction control kicking in. Plus the Buick is holding a lot more weight. But the Infiniti is obviously a great car too
Good matchup a luxury 2 seater that is way smaller vs a turbo 4 cylinder, 4 door Buick regal... You've got to be kidding me. The next video should be a Mazda miada vs a corvette
maSHup not maTCHup, means that u take 2 cars that don´t compete with each other and see why 1 cost more then the other, or which one u can buy to fit your needs, or u just have fun with them, sometimes the results are really strange. And yes: Corvette vs Miata, would be a great MASHUP, since both are fun in different ways.
Mash up that means exactly what it says. Two different categories go head 2 head. You never listened to a musical mash up? You gotta try it, its really fun.
You guys should not do 0-60 comparison because whatever you guys are doing is just pathetic, motor trend has done 0-60 in 5.0 in the q60 and G37s and you guys got 6.7, I personally have done it in 5.2 so I really think you guys need to find new drivers for these test no offense.
Engine Coolant wasn't even fully warm. We have the same car ( Is a Opel Insignia here in Europe ) With a 1.6 Liter turbocharged engine with 170hp. You tested the 2014 Buick Regal. As we have also the 2014 Model.
When are y'all going to post the Infiniti going up the Loveland Pass? We have that exact same Infiniti, just without the sport package and it's amazing
I bought my Buick regal gs 2017 at at age 22 .I care about interior quality and reliable and this regal gs has it all. Last 2 years without any problems and the only problems I had was tires and suspension because of the streets so messed up .
I don't understand, in Ireland the Buick is an Opel Insignia, I have one and it's a 4 cylinder turbo diesel with only 170 BHP but 400 NM of torque (not sure what that is in Ib-Ft) but it's the same time to 60 as this 260 bhp regal? Mine is a 6 speed manual though
I agree! Not only is the Buick overpriced, but the Infiniti will last longer, fit and finish is solid, and it will hold a stronger residual value. Japanese all the way.
That is blind fantasy. If there's something that can be said about Buick compared to almost any other brand, it's that every system of rating reliability / longevity (JD Power, Consumer Reports, you name it) consistently has Buick at or near the very top of the list. There are a ton of brands, actually, that easily rate better than Nissan & Infiniti. Reliability is not a Nissan strong point.
Did anyone actually realize that this test was a mile above sea level. The air is thinner and therefore the car will not be as fast. The buick has been tested at 6.2 to 60.
ATX max the cold temps benefit both engines but moreso the turbo, and with it being cold the tires just won't grab as much so more power = more wheel spin = slower time
the thing is i think turbocharging a 4 cylinder is new to gm. the jettas and audi a4s will do better numbers for sure...but then again its a buick so, wasnt expecting much
Although the Buick Regal "GS" has the same engine as the Buick tested in this comparison, it would definitely done a lot better 0-60 time due to the GS's vehicle twerks(ie sport mode & max torque at lower rpm)!
Buick is build on the same platform as Opel Insignia/Vectra..,which means a LOT understeer and huge turning circles.. Yes,quite well build car, nice interior and ride, but push it a bit more and..you can see the results here :)
The Buick was better in the snow driving up a mountain, and the controls were better (note how much trouble Roman had finding the outside temperature in the Infiniti, he had no problem finding it in the Buick). You also get better gas mileage in the Buick which can take regular fuel (I don't believe the Infiniti can). So if you want to win a drag race, get the Infiniti. If you want to save on fuel with better controls and traction, get the Buick. Sounds pretty straight forward to me..
@@Opium64 my GM cars have lasted more than 10 years. My last car was a2006 Saab 9-3 which I sold with 195,000 miles on it. My friend has it now with 240,000 miles and it is 15 years old. My current car is an almost 10 year old Subaru with 135,000 on it. Good luck getting that “3.7” with the CVT past 150,000 with the original transmission. It is rare when that happens.
For those not guilty. This comment is not for you. I came to a conclusion that most viewers except a few are that view your channel are absolutely uneducated, don't listen or both. They think MASHUP is MATCHUP, they don't understand the effects altitude have on a vehicle's performance. They see one thing and they run with it. How hard is it to get in an automatic car, depress the accelerator to the floor to achieve a 0-60 time? E veryone can do it, no special training required unless you're in a manual car. But hey, everyone ain't educated equally
I have been watching some of these guys reviews...oddly enough their reviews are either biased or reflects their lack of knowledge bout cars...infiniti q60 is a known street sports car with sharp handling(comparable to bmw 3 series if not better) n rocket like acceleration not to mention its high reliability. Comparing it to a GM car(a company having a track record of making unreliable gas guzzlers with declining sales) is an insult!
LOL, you talk about bias and lack of knowledge, though your entire comment screams misguided bias. Speaking superlatives about the specific Infinity model, while simultaneously knocking the Buick based on the manufacturer, instead of it's own merits, in which you cite unreliability and high fuel consumption, neither of which would even apply to this Buick model. I'd be willing to bet you've never even driven either vehicle to even begin to make an educated comparison between the two, choosing to instead draw from your well of discontent for GM as a Company to accuse the makers of these reviews of being ignorant. Ignorant fanboi if I ever saw one.
Paul VanNatta Lol exactly hat i was thinking, gas guzzler he says when a manual cobalt can get close to a prius in MPG. My dad's 2000 corvette with a vortec supercharger gets close to 26 mpg for crying out loud. And as for unreliable I got a Seirra with 330,000 on it and the engine and tranny have never had to come apart. Don't get me wrong I love many different car brands, but you can't say GM makes bad vehicles, sadly the vehicles don't cost much so people don't care about actually taking care of them. That's why everyone goes on about German cars, because they don't have one so they never hear any issues with them. If you know 30 people who have GM/ford/etc cars and 3 people who own Euro cars, what do you think you're going to hear more problems about?
Makis Equinox Hondas and Nissans and Toyotas have been doing it longer and better, just in the past 10 years has the manufacturing of American cars been of higher quality and no way does a corvette get 26 MPG you are definitely exaggerating. There are more late model Toyota trucks still running and registered than any American truck. I commend your patriotism though.
HueJackCity66 "gets close to" Granted it mostly does highway miles, and the cavaliers got 30+ mpg Maybe in your neck of the woods, but most of the later model other cars and trucks have rotted out over here in PA. There's no way you can prove it one way or the others, but from what i see around here it's the old k1500s that never die, I've seen a few old toyota trucks and such, but nowhere close to as many. And it has nothing to do with patriotism i love toyota and honda, nissan is garbage though
This is definitely off. I have the 12 Buick Regal Turbo. It's more of a mid range car. You can't compare a car like the Q60 that us ridiculous off the line to a car that has turbo that kicks in mid range. My Buick is fast as a mother on the highway, especially if I'm using the Tektronix. I've raced my girls G37x and have always outran her car in a long haul. So you can't compare these off the line. Its senseless. Im actually putting on a performance exhaust this week and toying with chipping it or upgrading the turbo. I've already got 100K outta my car, so I got my money's worth
jaymum23 by a huge resale value hit i meant for the owners of the years before. since a newer once is 5k cheaper off the line. there older g37 must take a huge hit.
This is fake, i have a 2013 buick regal turbo and I got 6.5sec after couple of runs and trac. Off. This dude isn't even pressing on the gas. My tires squeal when I just floor it and if I build boost and go than I sometimes spin in second gear. This is advertisement for Nissan.
if you look at the rear view mirror at 2:43, it looks like you can see exposed wires. if that's what they are then that's pretty shocking build quality from infiniti! nice car otherwise.
Please, make more sense of things and do a mush up of the new Civic sedan vs the Mustang v6. Come on can you guys stop wasting people's time and give us something to compared beside the four wheel and motor you did..
lol my 1997 maxima stock will do 60 in about 7.80 just round to 8 sec, reminder its an old car the engine is way out dated stock and of course time will kill a car and make it slower. Its faster then a new turbo Buick, just saying wow gm step it up please lol
This is why I hate used cars, every clown and their mother likes to beat the crap out of their cars especially to entertain others. I don’t want to inherit anyones abused and damaged child.
Nissan/Infinity really missed the ball when renaming their cars. I don t see the point. they go from G35, to G37, to Q whatever the hell. I wish cars had actual names as opposed to alphanumerical soup
because next models will be boosted and lower in displacement so they would have like G30 or something and it would not make sense. BMW back in the day would have the displacement in the name, now 335 has 3.0 engine in it. So what infiniti did actually does make sense
Regardless, the point I was making was not about sales, and i really don't think the name change is the reason for any sale increase or decrease. My point is I m sick of numbers for cars and want names again.
MikeDunn No, the naturally aspirated engines like the Q60 get robbed of 10% of the power @ a mile above sea level. Turbo charged ones have less on an affect at altitude.
MikeDunn because not everyone lives at sea level. They're numerous other reviews from different channels at sea level. These guys just cater for those particular niche customers that live altitude.
It's a Nissan? if so it's a French company? Merci Monsieur Renault makers of Formula I race cars not cheap imitations lol Seriously Opels in the equation? even Fords are far better!
The Infiniti any day over this car. Buick fits in that old people category with Lincoln and Cadillac. These three(Buick, Cadillac, Lincoln) have been trying to revive themselves for the last few years despite being targeted only at people aged 60+ for the past 30 years.
only buick and cadi have been trying to revive themselves. Cadillac did a pretty good job even though i would never own one still. buick can go back to china. and lincoln isnt even trying.
Infiniti shouldn't even be compared to this POS. I understand it was a mash up but this Infiniti should of been compared to the Lexus IS AWD class at least.
