About 8 years ago I owned a 2001 JGC Limited and it was absolutely the best vehicle I've ever owned. I'm definitely gonna have to give this new version a test drive. If you say it's great Tony, then I believe it's great. I hope you have a very Happy New Year. :)

The Grand Cherokee has always been my favorite SUV as well. I didn't know about all that technology...the Wi-fi hotspot is pretty cool! Great, informative review.

Great review. I've watched several others and you seem to cover the attributes that are most important. I've owned a 12 Overland, a 14 Summit, a 14 Mercedes ML350 and a 15 Summit. I love the GC, obviously. It rides as smoothly as the ML and has many more features for way less money. I had a few problems with the Uconnect on the 14 Summit, but the 15 model is perfect. This vehicle has more bang for the buck than any other midsize SUV. Keep up the good work.

Just traded my F150 for This Jeep and Love It! It is so quick and agile. It drives smaller than it looks and highway manors are almost as good as the F150. I love this Jeep.

I know it's years away but I wonder what the next redesign for this is going to look like. I originally hated the 2011 redesign, but it eventually grew on me. I just recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Liberty since it's more practical in size for my lifestyle, but I wouldn't mind a bronze star pearl limited 2011 JGC model in my driveway LOL PS Great review on this and your review of the 2011 Jeep Liberty propelled me to buy one, but settled for an older one, since it's more affordable.

Good review I am looking at getting an Overland (12-14) but not sure on our budget(30 grand). I heard pre 14 there has been issues with navigation/stereo systems and transmission issue any insight?

first of all excuse my poor grammer (( non-english speaker)): i watched this video once it was uploaded and now i'm going to buy one and i had to re-watch it - the honesty in your reviews is important to me and i THANK you for that - and i see you didn't mention the new designed grill and rear-end. I didn't like. actually i hated it. it is not aggressive anymore this not jeep. it got defanged it is like hiking in a tuxedo. what do you think?

I like the average guy concept of your videos. I prefer Toyotas for obvious reasons, so I initially watched the Highlander review where you made a point to point out hard plastic. I just finished watching this Grand Cherokee review and noticed there was no mention of hard plastics...even though Grand Cherokee has, by far, more hard plastics and this is the Limited, about $6000 more than the version of the Highlander you tested. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.

Why because the frames rott out and leave some people stranded with payments on a vehicle that is unsafe to drive?? Keep your 30 year old version of a weak but yes reliable v6. When your frame rotts out on that piece of shit 4Runner I’ll be happy to tow your sorry ass to the junkyard with my hemi powered Cherokee. Thanks BYE.

I LOVE the Grand Cherokee - it's my favorite vehicle! The new Murano does look pretty good, but I have yet to drive one. Go test them both and let me know what you think :)

Great review. We're trying to decide between the Jeep Grand Cherokee or the Ford Explorer. My wife has an 2008 Ford Edge now but we're having issues with it. In your opinion which is a better fit for a women with a child and possibly one more in the future?

I LOVE the grand cherokee! LOVE it! and in terms of style, luxury and driving dynamics - it wins! the only thing is the size for cargo and lack of a third row - which may be an issue if you have more than one child. how long do you plan to own the vehicle?

better if you want to haul more peeps. The Acadia, Traverse and Enclave twins are all pretty good - I also like the Pathfinder/ JX35 Twins and the Pilot is a great choice too. Lots of opps!

Si me permites aconsejar, te diría que si viajas muy seguido al interior optes por la Toyota, dado que tiene mayor cobertura de concesionarios a nivel nacional. Si es para usar principalmente en ciudad (y sobre todo en Lima), a ojos cerrados la Jeep. El motor es muy similar pero la Jeep tiene major caja y a mi gusto, no solo es más bonita pero más elegante. En capacidad 4x4 diría que están muy cercanas, pero la Jeep tiene el Select Terrain. Ojo que la Jeep Limited es más cara que una 4Runner bien equipada. Yo opté por la Jeep, pero la 4Runner es muy buen auto también. Saludos.

Que Jeep Tienes? La Jeep es algo mas cara, pero pienso que lo vale. Su calidad interior esta casi al nivel de las grandes como Mercedes o Audi. La tuya es GC 2014?

Así es. Una GC 2013, modelo 2014. Nos la entregan a fin de mes. Completamente de acuerdo con tu comentario. Es superior en equipamiento y calidad de interior. Creo que como marca también es más. Como te digo, creo que la única ventaja de la 4Runner es la cobertura a nivel nacional. Todos los reviews que he visto y leido dicen que es excelente también. Si vas por la Limited (cerca a 58 mil) verás que tiene un equipamiento muy cercano al de la MB ML350. En verdad es un carrazo.

Como comentario adicional, recuerda que Divemotor tambien representa a Mercedes. Mercedes exige que sus representantes cumplan con niveles de calidad altisimos asi que en servicio la unica ventaja de la toyota es su capacidad off road.

Y eso. Por que todos los reviews que he visto re dicen que la GC tiene una super capacidad off road. Hay muchos videos donde esto se hace evidente. Como digo, a ojos cerrados la GC jaja. Suerte con la compra! Saludos

ery hardy SUV and reliable !! I have a request if you are in contact with representatives of a Jeep, then tell them for Russia they made the most reliable jeep! There is one Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2013 with a 3.6 engine, it has a mileage of almost 800,000 thousand kilometers or 497,096,954 thousand miles !! Not a problem except a broken gearbox !!

Hey Average Guy, you must be kidding on your reliability statement. Are you getting paid by Chrysler/Jeep? About the 2014 JGC, Consumer Reports actually says, "Reliability for the V6 version is well below average; V8- and diesel-version reliability is unknown." Yeah, the JGC is beautiful, and it is a very well rounded vehicle with drive comfort, off-road ability and towing capacity. But I'll wait until the bugs are worked out.

ha ha - look at the 2013 Consumer Reports - that's what I was referencing. Lease it and forget about it.
