후추를 찾기위해 유럽인들이 인도로 떠나지 않았다면 세계가 그들이 생각하는것보다 몇배는 더 넓다는것도 몰랐을테고 지구가 둥굴다는게 증명되는것은 몇백년 후에나 증명됐을 겁니다.

알고 있었다는거지 증명되지는 않았잖습니까. 실제로 한바퀴 돈 사람이 나와야 증명되는거죠. 콜롬버스가 미대륙 찾으러 갈 때에도 선원들이 세상의 끝으로 떨어지기 싫다고 반란 일으키려 했다는 글을 본 기억이 있습니다.

대신 중남미 무수한 학살이나 지옥은 없었을지 모르죠..그리고 인도로 갔다면 콜룸부스는 죽었을 겁니다..당시 인도는 무굴제국이라는 강대국이었으니

문제는 중세 유럽에선 고대 그리스는 기독교가 없어 망했다며 그리스 무수한 문명을 부정했다는 거죠..그리스나 로마에서 목욕을 자주하던 게 음란하다고 목욕을 철저하게 안하고 화장실을 가지고 하수도를 만들며 오히려 위생적으로 훨씬 깨끗한 고대 그리스나 로마를 더럽다면서 똥오줌을 그냥 길거리에 내다버린게 중세 유럽이었습니다. 이븐 바투타가 쓴 14세기 유럽 기행문을 봐도 거리에서 똥냄새가 오줌냄새가 진동한다, 얘들은 하수도도 모른단 말이냐? 라고 어이없어 했죠

그래서 지구가 둥글다고 증명하고 아 그래 인정하던 고대 그리스를 바보라고 욕하면 지구는 평평하다느니 천동설을 밀어붙였잖습니까.... 고대 그리스 학문도 철학도 무시당하던 게 오히려 야만인으로 무시하던 이슬람에서 고대 그리스 학문,철학을 연구하여 이들이 아니었다면 아리스토텔레스나 소크라테스는 우리도 몰랐을 겁니다. 아니 지구에서 흔적도 기록도 없었을테죠.

뭐 그덕에 유럽에서 향수가 나오고 (똥오줌 냄새 막고자) 하이힐이 나온다든지 여러 발명이 역으로 이뤄졌지만. 페스트라든지 온갖 병이 퍼져 엄청나게 죽어나가야 했으니까요. 히포크라테스가 있던 고대 그리스보다 의학 수준이 팍삭 뭉개졌고 베살리우스같이 시체를 해부한 선구적인 의학자는 매장당해 비참하게 죽어가야 했죠

Wow! Rene Redzepi is in here~~!!!! I have seen him in another documentary and I love how he wants to use the native ingredients fron his homeland. I will be waiting for episode 3

please don't generalize what the people in Iran do with Islam, because some if them are too extreme and it's more of their culture, not Islam.

Iran is shia country and they don’t represent islam in it’s right way.. this things they do has nothing to do with islam and muslims.. you should said they are shia.. you have to be more honest and clear with your shows content.. so no one gonna take the wrong idea about islam..how can a big network like KBS make this mistak?!

English subs miss details from korean commentary. korean commentary said that information but english subs doesn't reflect information as well. so that's disappointed as korean.

사실상 향식료가 제국주의와 세계발전에 큰 영향을 미친 것은 사실이죠....여전히 인도는 고통받지만....그 화려하던 무굴왕국이 그렇게 허무하게 무너지다니.....

밑의 댓글들을 보면 한정된 문화권이 이슬람과 이란을 대표하는 것이라고 시청자들이 인식할까봐 걱정하는 것 같은데 처음 보는 사람으로써 그렇게 느껴지지는 않습니다 하지만 염려해야할 부분이라고 생각합니다

Just to correct the way he said all musulman mourn in Ashura to not have this mistake again, the thing they did in Iran about Ashura it deos not represent the musulmans, it's thiers cultures and they are Shiaa and there's others Sunna "like me" so don't mix everyone in it. Ashura for us we Fast on the day or two From North Africa to the middle east to Others musulmans country in Asia had theirs own cultures and traditions
