The opposite is true about software. They got ECU's with spaghetti code software and all.. killed hundreds of people in the USA alone. The software of the ECU can just let the car accelerate out of nothing. Brakes can't stop it. and many people died. Though their hardware is reliable. They are not so good with software in Japan.
@@stephennong7351 well it was so bad even Top NASA software engineers had checked the whole software. And Toyota was forced to give up the software in USA of the ECU to inspect. It matched all "what not to do when writing software" boxes. It was a complete mess. Many people died due to this. I posted the whole pdf file from NASA here but google deleted it. Search for Toyota ECU NASA.
Exactly. The ISF is reliable and gives much more equipment like ventilated seats, the fancy start, awesome sound and more. Would love to get one but at the moment changing my IS 220d for the IS 250.
Exceptionally thorough review brother, I barely noticed no audio because of how focused I was tracking the information about this machine and the sweet driving clips. That's how you know you nailed it! Cheers.
The guy I work for over the summer has a 2010 lexus isf, with the all kinds of performance mods. He's gone to the Texas mile before, he has raced with the Lamborghini Gallardo (v8) there. It was a tie all the way down the track. It's a really awesome car and it can go 193 mph.
Beautiful video kyle. I love the attention to detail and thoroughness in your reviews. Your reviews are so in depth that the viewers get to know the vehicle personally, perfect for someone looking to purchase or just a curious enthusiast like myself. Also it's great how you interact a lot with your viewers on facebook, youtube comments, etc. Keep it up man, it's been amazing watching you progress from back when you were doing cold start videos at the dealership to now reviewing bugatti's and being lent isf's as a press car.
Harley Lusk Haha, I wasn't worried about it at first because it was a safe area to explore how quickly the gears change, but I wish there was a way to always blur out the speedo. What I did looks kind of ghetto, but iMovie has no way of doing it, surprisingly. Otherwise I would always blur out the speedometer.
I had 3 options before buying this car, BMW M3, Mercedes E63 and a IS-F I bought the IS-F due to reliability, price of ownership, build quality. I have a 2010 model, the 2010 is my favorite model due to the dials on the instrument cluster are nicer looking in my opinion. Also, modifications are less expensive than BMW and Benz, and so on and so forth. Although it's not the best looking car out of the three, I grew to love it everyday.
Thanks for the videos i am sure it can be a lot of work sometimes but at least it's a great gig and someone relatively normal can enjoy these machines, always enjoy your thorough reviews, keep up the good work
One of the best detailed car reviews on RU-vid. I think Lexus made a mistake in making the Tachometer larger than the Speedometer. It's not a track car, it's a street car. Also, Lexus should have added a digital speedometer, which is far better than an analog speedometer. A few more inches in the overall length would be advisable for better passenger comfort. Overall, a great car.
monsiuer smartypants They only sold around 80 something 14 ISF’s in the US. Its the last production year of the ISF as well and I dont see very much for sale especially in the exterior and interior color that I like and with low miles. Very hard to find. Thats why I said I’d pay msrp if they were to bring back the 14 ISF.
I know! They have the IS350 F Sport, but it’s not quite a true IS F. My dad actually has 2015 IS350 F Sport. Awesome car, but the older gen IS F is much cooler
This was the last year they made the Lexus is F. They only made 86 of this models in the US. It also came with a carbon fiber spoiler stock from the factory.
ROFL Trolls! Haters gonna hate. I drove an ISF and considered an ISF before deciding to spend an extra $20K for a Molten Pearl Lexus RCF with Carbon/TVD package. ISFs go for around $30K. There is not a single ISF that ever sells for $40 - $50K. Ask any ISF owner who actually traded-in for an RCF and he would laugh in your face for the dumb comments here. There is nothing ISF does better than the RCF other than two doors, but RCF has bigger back seats. RCF is much quicker, revs higher, quicker and also handles much better. RCF pulled 73 mph on the slalom speed and 0.96g on the skidpad.
Great review as usual.I do miss that ignition chime though. I know it's been around forever, but wish they would have kept it instead of going to the more electronic sounding one.
Oh god I was worried at the beginning of the video when you started it up and thought I heard a 4 cyl or a V6. But then when you revved it I got a sigh of relief that I was hearing a V8
Great video, and a MY14.....so very rare. Only ever seen one here in Australia....identical to this car except the steering wheel is on the correct side 😅😉 The Alcantara and red is perfect and even rarer. From MY12 these are just the best car. My dream car.
My dream car that I could practically own. Practically because it’s reliable and most probably less expensive to maintain compared to its European counterparts.
Hey Kyle! What do you think in your opinion is the quietest and most comfortable car you have experienced so far (I mean quiet while sitting inside and while driving, in other words; well soundproofed)? Can you please name one sedan vehicle, and one SUV vehicle?
Hello Kyle Can you do a review of the 2014 Ferrari 458 Italia? I know you already have a review but it's for the older version. Please Great video BTW as always!
