After swim training at beach on Sunday morning, we had some unexpected visitors... glad we were back on the beach! Watch for the jumping stingray... and the clever escaping stingray.
I remember seeing a pod of around five/six orca on the back beach of Nelson when I was around ten years old. The sea was similarly calm and although it was around forty years ago, I have a recollection of them snuffling around for flounder and rays. I went home and told my family who just laughed and gave the ol' "yeah, right" attitude but after all these years, it is one of the most powerful memories I possess.
QUE COSA MAS HERMOSA VER A LAS ORCAS TAN DE CERCA EN SU HABITAD NATURAL , LAS ORCAS QUERÍAN COMERSE A LA MANTA RAYA , POR ESO LA MANTA RAYA SE ORILLO A PEDIR AYUDA , Y ESAS PERSONAS MUY BIEN POR ELLAS QUE NO LA MOLESTARON
The color is beautiful and its texture is soft, but it is dangerous, it roams the sea without borders, and it is not afraid how much I love it and I like it very much. It's black ocean
Pretty sure the only orcas who mainly hunt rays are here in NZ have personally never seen any but I have been fishing three times out on my dad's boat in Foxton. last year Every time there was this massive group of near 20+ common dolphins. We haven't been out this year I really hope to see other wildlife. I have also had a MAJOR obsession with orcas since I was lik thins young it was all I did at kindy lol i.postimg.cc/yYyrg8C4/20201210-221032.jpg. But now my biggest obsession is to retire captive orcas and move them to sea pens and heck, maybe release the few caught after 2000.
I’m soo abscessed with Orcas too❤️❤️ Bless you for hoping one day rescue caged Orcas build a huge ocean pen so they can be happy with tons of room for them! they would need help finding food since they are reliant on human care.
That beach has a deep drop off point, those orcas were easily in 6-8 feet of water. I would absolutely have gone crazy seeing killer whales that close!
I think the orcas were a bit put off by the people otherwise they probably would have charged closer onto shore. Although if you had gone in the water slowly they probably would not have hurt anyone if though they were hunting but you should not interfere when they are hunting
Fuck WhatsMyUserNameAgain i told you orcas don't eat humans yet you keep saying they would have gone for bigger human prey. either i don't understand your weird sense of humor or you don't understand english
The Truth Is Out There Sigh, ok let me break it down to a language a 5 year old under stands... The orca did not swim after the ray (Because the orca do not want to eat the people, Because orca do not eat people) that is why the humans where in the way.
SeaWorld supporters this is where you should go and watch orcas and dolphins! Out in the open with their families, not in some tank forced to perform tricks and facing cruelty all because of corporate greed!
I get a feeling that animals find humans less intimidating than orcas. Though humans can be pretty intimidating. But if the small brain of a stingray can fugure out that humans are safer than orcas - it could have been speared by some fisherman on the beach - then why are sharks with maybe a little bigger brain, always attacking humans? I do not think sharks are mistaking all the times when biting in human flesh.
I'm not sure but it looked like the orcas were after the stingray, it knows orcas are natural predators but humans are generally not. Id surely prefer sticking closer to humans if a group of orcas was on my ass. As for sharks, there plenty of proofs on RU-vid showing that sharks do not attack divers in clear water.
@@bonitaohyea9258 Just because they dont, doesnt mean they might. Has a human ever thrown them selves at a starving Orca yet who is running really low on fat reserves?
@@77serafim77 а похоже на треугольник акулы. Мне, когда была в Египте, так хотелось понырять и посмотреть подводную красоту , но всегда боялась из за акул. Спасибо
